My biggest worry is that those people will think they want to “prove it’s not just a gay disease” by smearing their feces all over.

There have been several surveys over the years of "gay couples" who described themselves as "monogamous," when it later became clear that NONE of them were over the long term. To them, it means emotional attachment, not physical exclusivity.
Unfortunately, diseases don't recognize "emotional attachment" as a limit.

Highest levels of promiscuity in the male “gay” community are in traditionally more unstable demographics to start with. This was evident during “aids” where some “protests” kept highlighting the “disparate impact” in “minority communities”. The one “minority community” that was never true was the Asian American community. Many different conservative social constraints among Chinese, Japanese and Korean communities contributes to less promiscuity overall among them, regardless of the other elements of their private relationships.
Monkey pox affects overwhelmingly a single group, male homosexuals, and is not readily transmissible except by intimate contact. I laugh when the leftist media tries to bend facts to fit particular narratives. In this case making people of color the main “victims” of the disease
