Former President Donald Trump says he is "encouraging the immediate release" of documents related to the FBI's search of his Florida estate while rejecting reports that agents had searched his home for documents related to nuclear weapons.
"Not only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years," Trump said in a statement issued late Thursday.
Trump's statement on the document release, which his legal team declined to authorize earlier, comes after the Justice Department on Thursday moved to unseal the search warrant, and after Attorney General Merrick Garland said in public remarks, also on Thursday, that he "personally approved" the step to seek the warrant that was used and it would be made public.
In a filing in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the Justice Department officially asked U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart to unseal the warrant, the list of seized items, and accompanying information, "absent objection from the former president," reports CBS News.
"The press and the public enjoy a qualified right of access to criminal and judicial proceedings and the judicial records filed therein," wrote U.S. Attorney Juan Antonio Gonzalez and Jay Bratt, head of the Justice Department's counterintelligence and export control section wrote in the request, adding that "the public's clear and powerful interest in understanding what occurred under these circumstances weighs heavily in favor of unsealing."

I think they FBI got lucky and found this one “nuclear” document they can use as a CYA

Something that I see that is noticeably absent or at least not getting much attention.
The #1 priority for the FBI and in ALL FBI operations is to call the media. To document their heroic feats of strength and bravery.
The fact that they did not alert/ leak this to CNN/ MSNBC/ NYT et al. is hugely significant.
That there were not 100s of news vans and helicopters capturing it all and showing it live. Is, at this point, rather extraordinary.

My initial response to this whole thing was that we need to be careful because the only perfect man that ever existed was hung on a cross. Which means you never know what they theoretically could find in any person’s closet if they look hard enough.
That being said though, every day that passes supports the theory that they found nothing. It’s as though their main goal right now is to try to come up with a good way to spend what they did find and make it look as bad as possible.
I’ve said since the last year of Trump’s presidency that the Democrat party has gone full scorched Earth mode. And this is just another step in that strategy/tactic. They will pull out all the stops and do whatever it takes even if it means the destruction of their own party and the country. It’s sort of a either we win or nobody wins perspective.
And it just might be because they’ve ramped this up so seriously that if they lose, it’s the final loss. It’s not just losing a battle anymore. It’s losing the whole war. And it appears that that’s their perspective, when you analyze how they’re fighting. That funeral George walk from the house to the Senate with the letters of impeachment was high comedy.

If the DOJ wants it released, I smell a rat. Trump wants it released, because he knows he had nothing to hide. I would, therefore, suspect the FBI of planting something. I read that cameras were not in every location of the compound. Let’s see if they claim to have found something in one of those areas.

Well, one possibility is that since ‘nuclear’ wasn’t mentioned until after the raid was over, it follows that this was after they had already combed through all the documents. What this means is that they didn’t find anything else but it’s possible that there was some vague and benign mention to something or other being the ‘nuclear reference’ that they can now point to as the justification. The fact that it was a comment by PDJT that perhaps they should consider building some new nuclear plants since wind and solar have proved to be a total disaster.... is beside the point.
Doubt your theory is even remotely correct. Trumps attorney stated FBI had full and total access to that anytime they wanted and even went through all the documents back in June and his attorney stated they where very thorough on Laura Ingraham. In addition footage would be made available via the Nara Largo security cameras that the documents hadn’t been touched since they left in June and had the additional lock attached. Trump also wouldn’t also be so vigorously encouraging the documents be released. In short Garland got punked.
