I love the landscaped ‘desert’ look around homes in Tucson, AZ. No mowing, and they were beautiful. Like Zen gardens, or something.

Grass doesn’t grow on trees, donch know.

Perhaps the executive branch of the federal government should relocate there.

“Nevada says goodbye to grass”
Didn’t they just LEGALIZE it?

Xeriscaping. We had that in New Mexico, too.

Stop California’s drain of the Colorado River (Lake Meade and Hoover Dam) and a good bit of that problem goes away, IMO.

We’re all doomed unless we give the government all our rights and possessions. They alone have the wisdom to end this scourge.

Not a climate emergency, simply desert town growing exponentially in an area with inadequate water supplies. Said water supply, the Colorado River, being shared with numerous other cities. Exactly.

Da be flooding? Hell they need to see areas where flooding
does occur and halts movement and does destruction.

Agreed! The natural landscape can be beautiful in it’s own way out there.

Exactly. If they want me to believe them, they’ll have to demonstrate to me that they have an understanding of the system, their predictions have to start coming true.
Remember the eclipse of 2016? They told us precisely when and where the total eclipse would occur with precision. That demonstrates an understanding of the system.
Want to demonstrate an understanding of the climate system? Starting in June of next year, CORRECTLY predict when and where all hurricanes for next year make landfall and their category. I’d even give them a break. Predict time to withing one week; predict location within 100 miles; predict category +/- 1.

And...the effect on wildlife and insect life?
And...grass is to be replaced with what? Artificial turf? Who pays for that? Or just leave a whole lot of exposed dirt and soil? Can they say "erosion"?

See BS pushing the BS narrative again.
As far as Nevada, seems the people are spoiled. Nevada is desert, basically. So what do they expect without all the technological help? They’re not getting worse, they’re just going back to the nature it is.
