In retrospect I think Al Gore might possibly have made a better POTUS than George W Bush, although we do have Justice Alito thanks to Bush. How bad a policy was the Iraq war? Quite bad. Gore only went off the global-warming deep end after losing the 2000 election; before that he appeared to be sane, and might have remained sane.
But between Bush and John Kerry it was a no-brainer to re-elect Bush. Kerry was and is horrible in every respect.
