You didn’t even tell half the story.
Bastogne was THE crossroads with all seven major cross-country roads intersecting there. The US assigned an infantry division to protect it and prevent German armor from crossing there.
It was to the rear of the front.
AND the US did not embed troops/equipment in schoolyards, apartment buildings and hospitals/old folks homes.
Ukraine clearly HAS. And in most cases are not defending a strategic site.

You're completely wrong. Where do you think the US soldiers were at Bastogne , at some army base? They were dug in at civilian homes and shops.

Ukraine does not deny the facts of the accusations.
They only take umbrage with the characterizations, and the fact they were mentioned at all.
They feel fully justified in using these, what appear to be strategic and national tactics.
And you support them in their war crimes.
Of course civilians were killed in Bastogne.
And OF COURSE somebody who puts the interests of a foreign country above the interests of the US would accuse the US army of Ukrainian/Palestinian human shield tactics!
The US Army never used a building...school, hospital, residence etc. without first evacuating the civilians there. Not in WWII, and not since.
But you accuse them of just that. The friggin’ US Army...the outfit that has lost at least as many men protecting civilians as achieving objectives.

But war criminal Ukrainians do it systematically and it is part of their national defense strategy.
They embed with the civilians in the most photogenic of buildings, and DO NOT evac them. Often they do not even inform them...and worse...prevent their departure.
And YOU support and defend them.

Russia is still in the Ukraine nearly five months later, and you think it still should be.

You're completely making shit up. Amnesty is NOT accusing Ukrainian soldiers of using a building with civilians in it. They are accusing Ukraine of having the military in 'residential areas', just like the US had during the Battle of Bastogne.
Zelensky needs to clean up his act.
