Putin Identifies United States as Russia's Primary Naval Opponent

On Sunday, Russia's Navy Day, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a revised naval doctrine which recognizes the United States as the primary threat to Russian maritime ambitions.

The document describes "the strategic policy of the U.S. to dominate the world's oceans" as a major threat to Russian interests. The claim has an element of truth: American naval doctrine does incorporate the Mahanian objective of global "command of the sea," and the U.S. 2020 Tri-Service Maritime Strategy revives this time-honored doctrine with "a renewed emphasis on sea control." In addition to de facto sea control in most regions, the U.S. has an 80-year track record of countering Russian naval power - as demonstrated by the sinking of the Moskva, which was aided by U.S. battlefield intelligence.

America's naval doctrine also recognizes Russia as a near-peer competitor. The Tri-Maritime Strategy identifies the Russian military's "increasingly aggressive behavior" and "increasing sophistication," but ranks the Russian threat in second place, behind China. The U.S. Navy considers China's PLA Navy and its surrogates to be "the most pressing, long-term strategic threat" to U.S. maritime interests.

Putin's newly-signed doctrine also emphasizes shipbuilding infrastructure in the Russian far east; sustaining Russian control over the Northern Sea Route; maintaining the Russian naval presence in the Mediterranean; and starting a new ferry service to Kaliningrad to improve its commerce with contiguous Russia.

I know that Russia still has nuclear submarines off our
shores. (at least I believe they do) From what I hear,
other than that, the Russian Navy isn’t really worthy of
comparing to the U. S. anymore.

Does anyone see it differently?

Putin Identifies United States as Russia's Primary Naval Opponent

And some random 98-pound weakling has just identified Mike Tyson - in his prime - as his primary opponent.

Perhaps there are some attack subs attempting to trail a Trident leaving port, or maybe a cruise missile sub like an Oscar 2 aiming at a carrier group in the same situation, but for the most part, with the longer range SLBMs on all ballistic missile subs these days, and including Russian, those subs no longer have to be right off the coast. They can actually fire their missiles pier side at their home port. Generally they stay in “bastions” and that includes the White Sea, where they can be better protected.
That doesn’t mean the Boomers won’t be right off our coast, and the short flight times of having a ballistic missile sub close, utilizing “depressed trajectory” missile flight profiles, did in the Cold War require B-52 pilots to be in the cockpits, instead of their ready shacks to get off the ground before the first impacts. Perhaps the newer Borey class, “project 955” Russian subs might survive long enough to be right off our coast in that scenario, but I would have no idea.

“the strategic policy of the U.S. to dominate the world’s oceans”

BULLSHEVICK!

The strategic policy of the USA is to keep the law of Freedom of the Seas.

Putins policy os to deny certain nations freedom of the seas.He will not get away with it when it comes to food supply for the world.

"These guys?"

Well, the weaponry does include WOKE capabilities (of suicide) from,

The Pentagon Forming a Diversity and Inclusion Office, and

allowing transgenders to serve in the military,

and with the Pentagon even ensuring free gender reassignment surgery for active military personnel,

with Army mandatory training now including training Army personnel to know what to do in such scenarios as when a soldier who was "assigned" a biological gender at birth says he/she identifies as another gender, and lives as such in off-duty hours, but is not requesting to be treated as such while on duty, versus if such later requests to be identified as according to their chosen gender during duty hours, and/or experiences increased distress relating to his/her gender identity;

while apparently as part of the Naval Sea Systems Command Inclusion & Engagement Council’s Diversity Team's video series called “NAVSpEAks,” the Navy posts video on "the importance of using correct pronouns as well as polite etiquette when you may not be sure of someone's pronouns"

and the Air Force being with WOKEism in creating 'LGBTQ' and 'Indigenous Nations Equality' Focus Groups,

and also authorizing the use of gender pronouns in signature blocks,

and hosting a drag show at festival at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE) on July, 2022, which also includes a poem on “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion,”

while the Army arms itself with a woke recruitment ad featuring lesbians at a gay wedding and an LGBTQ pride march,

and the CIA funds a 'cisgender millennial with anxiety disorder' campaign, and with the

Marines and Navy as well as the Air Force and Army posting messages on social media supporting gay pride and Pride Month,

with the former posting rainbow bullets, and the latter a rainbow colored arm and hand in salute (essentially to the flag of Sodom)

and with the Navy naming a military ship after gay rights leader Harvey Milk, and (now) with a transgender veteran christening it,

along with the Navy's first all gay U.S. Navy helicopter crew,

to lower fitness standards for women

while nearly half of female soldiers are still failing the new Army Fitness Test,

yet calling for Increased Diversity and More Women in Combat,

and changing its song to be gender-neutral,

and Forcing Marines to Make Boot Camp Coed,

and feeding cadets cultural Marxist propaganda about gender and masculinity therein,

to its new diversity and inclusion operation from West Point

and for its Special Operations Command ,

while showing a rapid response readiness to engage in online combat with the likes of Tucker Carson and other such enemies

thus nuking Jesus-themed candies on an Air Force bases

as well as the Pentagon ordering a company to stop making faith-based Dog Tags,

and prohibiting service members from “liking” or reposting "extremist" views on social media (depending on all the circumstances involved) as part of its prohibition against actively engaging in extremist activities,

yet allowing turbans and hijabs in the Air Force,

while working to rid the military of “extremism”

such as the head of the US Space Force unit being fired and put under investigation for criticizing Critical Race Theory

And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens. (Ezra 9:6)

I have a real problem visualizing the importance of naval forces (and that includes carriers but not submarines) given the present and future advancement in missile technology. I see them as moving foxholes that once located can be tracked forever and destroyed by advanced missile technology.
The fact that the Russian Black Sea warships will come no closer to Crimea than seventy miles, given Ukraine’s rather primitive response, I believe proves my point.
