‘Too Bad!’: Donald Trump Slams Eric Schmitt’s Missouri Campaign for ‘Great Dishonesty in Politics’
Breitbart ^ | 31 Jul 2022 | NICK GILBERTSON

Former President Donald J. Trump slammed Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s U.S. Senate campaign Sunday night over a poll that Republican strategists told Breitbart News undercounts Trump’s support in the Show Me State to boost Schmitt’s numbers.

“Wow, great dishonesty in politics. Too bad!” Trump wrote of the Remington Research Group poll — commissioned by operatives associated with the Schmitt campaign — in a Truth Social post. Remington was launched by the political consulting firm Axiom Strategies, which was founded by Jeff Roe — Schmitt’s top consultant.

With voters hitting the ballots in less than 36 hours, Trump’s Truth Social post indicates it is highly unlikely he will endorse the attorney general in the race. Having already previously announced that he would not support Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) and telling voters they “can forget about” her, only one candidate seems to be in contention for his backing: former Gov. Eric Greitens (R-MO).

In the poll, Trump received 42 percent of the response for the 2024 Republican primary, putting him above Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) at 18 percent and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) at six percent. Another 17 percent supported other candidates, while the remaining 17 percent backed other potential candidates. But three Republican strategists told Breitbart News that Trump’s lead is even more impressive and said the poll was false. Some suggested it is purposefully disingenuous to show Schmitt leading his opponents.

“This is a completely fake poll commissioned by the RINO establishment who are looking to move on from President Trump,” a national Republican operative who advises candidates in both Missouri and Florida among other places, told Breitbart News. “There is no way Missouri, a deep Trump state, would ever vote for someone like Ron DeSantis. President Trump is dominating the

“Perhaps it is because the only way Schmitt’s team can alter a poll to make it look like they are in the lead in Missouri’s Senate primary days from the election is by kneecapping Trump and boosting perceived potential rivals in a looming 2024 bid,” the strategist added.

An Excalibur Strategies survey obtained exclusively by Breitbart News showed Greitens at 34 percent, Schmitt at 30 percent, and Hartzler at 21 percent as of Friday night.

I would imagine it’s as hard to find a good “political consulting firm” as it is a good politician.(or US AG)

Told y’all Schmitt was a lousy choice.

Greitens is obviously the best choice in that race. You should have known this by the fact that the RINOs are trying so hard to slime him.

We are throwing the Senate away with terrible candidates. Oz, Walker, and now it looks like Greitens.

There is NO WAY Greitens is polling at 34 percent!! He is toxic with his past. I could see the Democrats paying for that poll! They want Greitens to win the primary!! With his baggage the rats need him to win so they have a chance to take the Senate seat in the fall.

I can understand Trump pushing for his candidate, but this pattern of his of declaring absolute war on everyone who opposes his chosen candidate is killing the Republican party. Without him, we’d be looking at 59 Senate seats and 260 house seats. I understand taking out the RINOs, and I won’t mind if he wend up with 55 Senate seats and 230 house seats, but we can’t afford to lose states like Arizona, Georgia and Missouri to the Marxists.

Painting with an awfully wide brush here, aren't you?

President Trump was not "but this pattern of his of declaring absolute war on everyone who opposes his chosen candidate" as he has not even endorsed in this race.

BS. Trump is clearing the RINOs out of the way. If these scumbags can’t even question the fraudulent 2020 election, then we can not count on them for ANYTHING. They will sell us out the second they get to DC.

That, on its face, is laughable.

Without his endorsements, you most certainly would be looking at many fewer house seats, and probably fewer Senate seats.

On top of that, you'd still be electing Establishment/Globalists at a much higher percentage.

President Trump knows a ppuch poll when he sees one. And his disclosure renders their dishonesty ineffective.

President Trump is slowly cleaning up the GOP, and ut has the old seamp guards nervous, arrogant and extremely pi$$ed off.

The only thing that could be better is if President Trump had his own national TV cable NEWS SERVICE to get the word out, but he can do the job without it, the internet spreads Trump Truth info like wild fire.

The one Greitens ad I’ve heard makes that point. “I’m voting for Greitens—look at his enemies!”

In my opinion, if Greitens is the nominee, we lose the seat to the dems, just like we did with Akin. Yes, he was charged with crimes by a Soros prosecutor. He resigned the governor’s office to make the charges go away. Why? It’s not like Republicans from the General Assembly came and told him he would be impeached.

His ex-wife claims he abused both her and their son. From experience many men know how vindictive ex-wives can be. But women also know that guys who brag about how macho they are sometimes are abusive. One of his ads for governor showed him laughing as he was firing off a machine gun. In any case, his ex-wife charges will cost him the votes of women.

Then there was the ad (that he had to pull) showing him ‘hunting RINOs’.

He may or may not the only ‘true-blue conservative’ in the Senate race, but if he loses in the general election what difference does it make. A Republican Senator from this Republican state will help thwart FJB’s agenda. A democrat Senator will help to advance it. If Greitens supporters think the ads now are negative, imagine what the dems will run to win the seat.

Schmitt is in the lead, in every poll taken since the first of June.

you wouldn’t “mind” if we ended up with 55 Senate Seats?? I’ve got some news for you. At this rate the Republicans would be very fortunate to stay at 50!

What pisses me off is that he won’t make an endorsement but still wants to affect the outcome by tossing insults.

Seems like Schmitt maybe did a poor job choosing a ‘political consulting firm’. Trump is the last person to put other people down for their choices.

I bet it’s about as easy to find a good political consulting firm as it is to find a good US AG or chief of staff or FBI director or Warp Speed staff or Vice President.

So of the three top candidates, Trump has put down the two that have managed to keep their family together and serve complete terms.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I’m skeptical about the Democrats’ chances in November. Things are awful. The voters are pissed at the Democrats for how much of a mess they’ve made of things.

I think the voters realize the corrupt Soros prosecutor who was herself charged with crimes was just a political hack and I think a lot of people both male and female realize divorces can get nasty and bitter ex spouses will sling false allegations just to try to hurt their ex.

Oz is a lousy candidate I agree. I do not agree about Walker and Greitens. I think both will win in November. We will see.

Roe is an A-hole. He promoted the initial conflict between Cruz and Trump in 2016 after they had steered clear of each other. I hopeTrump does not endorse the clown Greitens.

Grietens is a fraud. He was when he ran for governor and he still is today. Put him in office and he will turn on us, and Trump, like the snake he is. He is the essence of a RINO. He says and does what he does purely for power. I might vote for him in November if I must, but I will throw up a little in my mouth if I do.

Of the front runners, Schmitt is the best. Hartzler (my congressional rep) is OK but not impressive.
