I never was a big fan of Neil Diamond, nothing against him, he is good songwriter, no doubt. But I do not know why Tarantino did not use his version of this song:

You'll Be a Woman Soon - Urge Overkill

When I heard it in the movie, I assumed it was Neil Diamond. The two versions are almost identical. I just asked my Tarantino trivia expert on that. If he as anything of interest, I will let you know.

Yeah Michael, I’ve seen some of the youngsters reactions to ‘Unchained Melody’, it inspires awe at Hatfield’s vocal range.
