The White House announced on Tuesday that it will be selling another 20 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve as part of its effort to lower gas prices.
The Department of Energy will be issuing a notice of the sale, the fifth such measure that the president has ordered as energy costs for consumers skyrocket, Fox Business reported.
At the same time, the White House continued to blame Putin’s ongoing Ukraine war for high costs at the pump, describing "disruptions posed by Russia’s invasion" for record costs while insisting that the administration’s measures are working.
"In fact, the Department of the Treasury estimates that as a result of these drawdowns both domestically and internationally, the price at the pump for Americans is up to about 40 cents per gallon lower than it otherwise would have been," the White House announced.

The commie dems are stealing from the tax paid rainy day national disaster oil reserves and selling that oil to foreign nations and pocketing the revenue for their own political purposes. They are trying to take credit for lowering gas prices a fraction of the amount Americans are now paying due to the cancellation of gas production by their fake puppet president Biden. Americans also know that this country can produce all of the oil needed by our citizens and there is no reason for us to be beggars to foreign nations for their oil which adds to our national debt which is destroying our economy.Treason is the reason for their ongoing war against our Republic and Donald Trump is the only person strong enough to lead us back to sanity and that will be decided quite soon with the upcoming elections.

*Sinopec has a US office and research center in Texas. They also have a stake in Canadian tar sands, the oil Keystone would have transported. Additionally, during the Trump administration, over a half million barrels were sold to China during a strategic reserve release. Through the same process as this last sale to a Chinese oil company.
