Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Sunday that the fact Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is Jewish does not negate his country's Nazi elements, claiming that Nazi Germany's leader Adolf Hitler also "had Jewish blood."

According to an interview with Italian media, Lavrov said: “So what if Zelenskyy is Jewish? The fact does not negate the Nazi elements in Ukraine. I believe that Hitler also had Jewish blood. It means absolutely nothing. The wise Jewish people said that the most ardent antisemites are usually Jews."

Clarification: In Putin's warped mind, Hitler's main bad was that he invaded Russia. Genocide, anti-Semitism, totalitarianism, oppression, those are OK in his view. Stalin did plenty of that, and he expanded Mother-Russia's girth all over the Baltics and beyond. So Stalin goood.

But Zelensky had the temerity to ask for membership in that Nazi NATO organization, who are just itching to invade Russia again. Good thing he put a stop to this "Nazism" in Georgia, you betcha./s

Ironically, his behavior in Crimea, Chechnya, Georgia AND Ukraine very closely resembles the Nazi Blitz, and without a doubt, even if he gets everything he's after in Ukraine, Moldavia will be next. I suspect that Lavrov was privately cringing over this nutso messaging. But what Putin wants, Lavrov has to say, if he knows what's good for him.
