In October 2020, President Donald Trump signed an executive order creating a new class of civil servant that would no longer enjoy civil service protections from firing. The stated reason was to remove incompetents, who can be difficult to fire. The real reason was to eliminate government employees who were insufficiently loyal to Trump’s policies.
Snip
Trump was especially blunt about the executive order’s intent. Here’s what The Washington Post reported him saying shortly after the executive order was issued:
You have a lot of people from past administrations, and they’re civil service. I fired some. I say some, just get rid of them. We had a lot of them come to the floor during the impeachment hoax. You see them coming in with their bow ties and everything. It’s a weird deal. We have some pretty deep-set, deep-seated people—we got a lot of them, and we got rid of a lot of them.

10% is not nearly enough. That’s 21,000 and far less than what Trump wants. It should be a minimum of 1 million over a period of one year to 18 months. Pay attention to unemployment figures the rest of this year. More than a million people in the private sector will lose their jobs. Lazy ass government employees need to suffer the same fate.
As for the military, there’s tons of dead weight. The military employment needs to be cut of the people who stand in the way of real warriors. We need a leaner, stronger and prepared military. If anything, correcting military employment is more important than civilian federal employment. Start with fags, trans, females and lard asses. Raise standards. Reverse the decades of destruction of leftists.
Your other points are spot on.
2 million federal employees is just the tip of the iceberg. Like icebergs, the bulk is below the water.
The federal government employs nearly 9.1 million workers, comprising nearly 6 percent of total employment in the United States. The figure includes nearly 2.1 million federal employees, 4.1 million contract employees, 1.2 million grant employees, 1.3 million active duty military personnel, and more than 500,000 postal service employees.
Translation: we’re scared our own political hacks we’ve already installed will be eliminated and replaced with people we consider our enemies.
Replace Political Hacks with real workers ?
Talking points must have gone out. Heather Cox Richardson penned a similar piece.
LOL! As if they were not political hacks right now.
Unintentionally hilarious.
Civil Servants aka embedded communists...
You are absolutely right. They are all part of the swamp. By the way, Steve Bannon said this morning that the term “drain the swamp” should no longer be used. Let’s see if Trump changes his language. I’m certain that Trump wouldn’t use my term. That’s “Make the DMV Appalachia”.
4% of DC voted for Trump. Fire so many that it turns to 50%. Even better fire so many it becomes 96% and the RATs have to fear jury trials in DC.
Good points. But the 10% reduction should be applied to the military as well. It is too loaded with REMFs.
I’d replace each and every one of them with...air.
I’d fire EVERY general officer and some O6’s and EVERY senior enlisted E9 for dishonoring their oath. Then I’d replace them with warfighters, not politicians. That’s where I start with the military. And only half their positions would be replaces. Interesting stats, There are more generals right now then there were in WWII. Thats a cryin shame. We don’t need that many.
The servants have morphed into masters.
Oh, the irony is soooooooo rich!
There was one general for every 6000 other ranks in WW2. Today it’s one general per 1400. The Navy has more admirals than ships.
“The Next GOP President Will Replace Civil Servants With Political Hacks...”
Hey... you mean to tell me Trump would fire all the current placeholders, and then rehire them?
Effective or efficient delivery of service is nowhere on the list of criteria.
What part of "limited government" have we experienced in the last 60 years?
There are many government employees that do necessary jobs and do them well. There are many that do not. There are none that deserve the title “Civil Servant”.
Most walk around with a smug attitude, know they can’t be fired, get much more in retirement and benefits that private sector employees and call themselves “Servants”
As if..............
Good. A permanent Prussian bureaucracy is the bitter enemy of freedom. It impedes the elected president and obstructs him. If his people suck, he has nobody else to blame and gets voted out.
