Dallas police are investigating reports of shots fired at an airport Monday morning.
A brief snippet of police audio said officers were responding to the active shooter situation, but the shooter "is down."
A traveler shared a photo on social media, tagging local news outlets, showing crowds being rushed out of the Dallas Live Field Airport due to a suspect shooter in the building.

"There is a report of shots being fired at the Dallas Love Field Airport," Dallas police spokesman Juan Fernandez confirmed to Fox News Digital. Another video from social media showed travelers ducking down with their laptops and other electronics on the floor near a seating area indoors.
Aerial footage from a news helicopter over the airport showed a large police response.

Airports are pretty good "defenseless victim zones", but there are armed agents on the inside.
So far, only one person removed from the scene.
Makes me wonder if there was a problem in checking in a firearm for transport...
Was wondering why we didn’t push back from the terminal. Guy behind me showed me an instagram post within minutes of it, but they weren’t saying anything on the plane. About 15 minutes later they came on and said there was a security incident. They shut air operations down until 12:30 local.

One of our loved ones flew into this airport yesterday and landed to catch another flight to the East.
This would have been about the time of the day, she was there yesterday.

Sometimes you wonder how stupid people can be. They’re now evacuating the entire terminal and anyone who was on planes. We were already boarded with doors closed and jetway removed when it happened. Now we have to take everything and go back out of the terminal and come back through security.
Too many shootings in Texas lately. The other states are getting jealous.
Maybe "security" will do a better job with their inspections after letting a crazed woman with a gun through.
