U.S. Rep Liz Cheney’s recent decision to abstain from voting on two pro-choice abortion bills caught heat during a Republican U.S House debate in Evanston on Tuesday night.
Cheney did not participate in the debate sponsored by the Uinta County Republican Party, but GOP primary challenger Harriet Hageman criticized her for being absent from Congress for the two votes.
“I believe she’s attempting to shore up support from the Democrats and that’s why she stayed away from voting for that,” candidate Harriet Hageman said.

Evanston
Almost Utah.
But I thought Cheney was “courageous”, always putting her principles first!
“I believe she’s attempting to shore up support from the Democrats and that’s why she stayed away from voting for that,” candidate Harriet Hageman said.

She’s turning Liberal
I think She’s turning Liberal
I really think so
Perhaps she does not want to alienate her base.
I think Harriet has Liz all figured out.
I have family in Evanston. Nice little town.
Is Cheney married? I’ve never heard mention of a husband.
Thank you, Luke21.
I should have looked it up.
No problem. I wanted to know, myself.
She is politically dead, useless for any purpose (except to railroad President Trump).
I am so impressed by Hegeman.
She looks like she might be a KOOK, yet, listening to her is a pleasure. She is knowledgeable, articulate, and hits all the right notes and I am ashamed for being so shallow as to just look at her.
Shame on me and loud support for Harriet.
Time will tell.
I hope she makes the jump to DC.
Liz couldn’t make it for the debate. She went to Evansville, Indiana. She didn’t know Wyoming had an Evanston. 🤓
Liz’s husband worked for a law firm wound up with Perkins Coie, HRCs lawyers. He worked for the Bush/Cheney administration and lost billions of dollars for DOD.
He’s deep swamp.
Thank you, AuntB. That figures. We can guess where the billions of $ went.
