Quit, Joe, Quit! Biden could save the midterms with a one-term pledge.
The Washington Post ^ | July 24, 2022 | By Steven L. Isenberg

President Biden should announce now that he will not run for reelection in 2024. He should not ask the Democratic Party, or the nation, to assume the risk of a second four-year term that would begin after he reached the age of 82.

Why would that save the midterms?

Look at the priorities of who he wants to save.

The Democrat Party is first, ahead of his nation.

Yep, it’s just about Biden. 🙄

There is an entire segment of our population and politic that has absolutely no sense of self awareness. It’s amazing.

And it’s a good thing...

If Brandon were vigorous and competent--and presiding over prosperity--then the mid-terms would not need "saving."

But, as others point out, the Demonrat Party itself is a large part of the problem.

I suppose that somewhere there is a reasonably competent moderate Democrat governor. But that person is well-hidden if they exist at all.

I would love to watch doddering demented baffled babbling Biden run against DeSantis in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Isn’t it interesting that there is a sitting Dem president and a sitting Dem Vice President and yet a dozen or so other Dems already running for president less than 2 years into their term?

Interesting how they key in on his age, not his health or mental capacity.

All to set the table for Pres Trump being too old despite being in good health and zero diminished mental capacity.

that would have as much impact on the midterms as a cricket sinking into a pile of cow manure

Biden quitting would naturally lead to Ineligible Harris (who is as nutty as a big sack of Costco cashews)
or?

Quit, Joe, Quit! Biden could save the midterms with a one-term pledge.

Obviously the author does not know Joe and Jill Biden. They are riding this train to the very end. The bitter end. And the country be damned.

He could announce that he will resign as of Jan. 21, 2023 (to allow Kamala the option of trying to serve two full terms), and who Obama has selected to be the new VP. But that would depend on their holding both Houses of Congress in the midterms. Otherwise they might have to get Biden to resign before the end of the year when they will be able to confirm a radical leftist as the next VP.

One term? How about a half term pledge?

Bye, bye Brandon. Enjoy the waffle cones and sniffing little girls in retirement.
