Rasmussen Poll: Republicans Have 10-Point Lead on Generic Congressional Ballot

Republicans lead the Democrats on the generic congressional ballot by ten points, two points higher than the previous week, on a Rasmussen Reports poll released Friday.

While the Republicans look to retake control of Congress in the 2022 midterm elections — which are only 109 days away — after being in the minority for roughly four years, the most recent Rasmussen Reports survey showed that 49 percent of likely U.S. voters would elect a Republican, compared to the 39 percent who said they would vote for the Democrat, giving the GOP a ten-point lead, two points larger than the previous week. In this poll, the Republican Party has a massive 17-point advantage with independents over the Democrats. Additionally, 27 percent of black voters and 41 percent of other minority groups said they would vote for the Republican candidate if the election were held today. The Rasmussen Reports survey was conducted from July 17 to 21 and questioned 2,500 likely U.S. voters. The survey had a two percent margin of error and a 95 percent confidence level.

Surely this time they’ll give us an honest shot and NOT stop counting on election night.

I sure hope you're right and I'm wrong. I'd hate to win an argument with you on this! ;-)

In 1994, the Gallup Poll taken close to the election, had the generic House poll at 51-44 (7pts.) in favor of the GOP.

The GOP gained 54 seats that year.

Well, I’m a Baptist and I don’t bet. But ...

I say the GOP WINS the House, but I say they won’t TAKE the house. (As Trump WON the election, but he wasn’t inaugurated.)

It’s easy to make predictions without consequence.

But since you are a Baptist, what does scripture say about false prophecy?

I am confident that the GOP WINS the House and they will win at least 235 seats (More likely in the 245 - 250 range).

Every political pundit and oddsmaker agrees with me.

“And none of that makes a bit of difference when we know for sure that “they” will cheat.”
If you assume that politicians cheat to the maximum extent posible, then the current results already reflect that cheating. If the real votes tend more Republican then the results will tend more Republican also.

And CA,NY,MA et al always slant the overall polls.

Real elections are held within states and cities.
Hope this is as great a sign as it looks. We have to battle the opponents and their rigging systems for fraud.

They’ll need a 15 point lead to overcome the Dem fraud, though.

Republicans may indeed take Congress, but it won’t be by a landslide, unless the election were truly above board.

It’s the statewide stuff they can stuff and steal. They have done it here in AZ numerous times. Janet Napolitano, Katie Hobbs, Kyrsten Sinema. So they can cheat and hold the senate.

I don’t know if they will. They will win, whatever they do. They don’t lose. And the best we can hope for is a congressional win that tempers their agenda some. They still control the executive after stealing it.

We just have to live our lives and roll with whatever happens. Electing more minions of McCarthy and McConnell isn’t necessarily very promising. That steal in 2020 was a big deal.

Speaking of depravity, the first tapped assassin of a conservative Supreme Court justice was caught when he chickened out. How many more are in line?

I am convinced that there will be more attempts on justices’ lives, some may succeed.

Rasmussen Poll: Republicans Have 10-Point Lead on Generic Congressional Ballot

Rassmussen had the Republicans up 10 points. Emerson has them up by 1 point. Wednesday Economist, Quinnipiac, and Politico had the Democrats up by 3 points, 1 point, and 4 points respectively. This is a meaningless poll.

No worries. The RINO/GOP will find a way to screw the pooch. What obama said about biden also applies to the GOPe. Never underestimate their ability to f things up.

They are pretty damn reliable as far as what Ive heard..along with the Trafalgar Group which is also top notch..expect as it gets closer to the midterms and the commies know they are gonna be wiped out, expect a new variant, this one far far more deadly which results in full lockdowns and ONLY mail in voting

We knew that 41-40 FNC poll was as absolute BS. The country is a dumpster fire. There is no way in hell the voters are evenly split.

I don’t believe it is a 10-pt lead. Rasmussen is clearly an outlier among all pollsters here.

For comparison, July 2018 for the midterms;

“The latest telephone and online survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters would choose the Democratic candidate if the elections for Congress were held today. Forty percent (40%) would opt for the Republican.”
https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/archive/mood_of_america_archive/generic_congressional_ballot/2018/july_2018/republicans_trail_by_wider_margin_on_generic_ballot

Dems picked up 41 seats
