Army tanks rolled on the streets of China’s Henan province to deter protesters who have been demanding the release of their savings after banks put a freeze on withdrawals.
Videos shared on social media showed a contingent of tanks making their way down main thoroughfares in a bid to scare off angry citizens and check demonstrations against banks. Local media reported that the tanks were deployed to protect banks.

That’s what happens in a communist country. Your money is not yours. It happened here once under FDR during the Great Depression. FDR was known as a socialist, and declared a bank holiday during a run on banks here in the early 30s at the onset. IMHO, he was not a great leader. He cause the depression last longer than it should with his high tax policies.

All that does is demonstrate to the world that China has a nearly fatal financial problem and anyone with any investments there had better run for the exit.

We had 3 bank robberies in Ct within a few hours the other day. The robbers hit 3 Peopled bank offices located inside Stop And Shop stores. They hit the first one then drove 25 minutes to rob the second one and drove another 25 minutes to hit the third bank.

Actually that nearly description might be premature. As banks fail all across China and people cease paying their mortgages on un finished or even not started apartments, banks are caught in the middle with no defense. The Developers took the money in loans and are now bankrupt. The Developers can’ repay the loans. The problem is actually destroying the Chinese economy, no nearly to it.
The amounts are incalculable. To say infinite is not an exaggeration. The bank runs illustrate the general lack of paper currency. The banks can’t return deposits in currency they do not have.
And people in America are worried about people from China buying real estate here. American real estate is seen as the most solid, reliable investment for the safety of savings that would be already evaporated in China
