Despite all the media hype about Biden seeking increased oil from Saudi Arabia, the Summit in Jeddah is the real reason for the visit. And, Israel and Palestinian visits were just window dressing for the visit to the Jeddah Summit

The article describes a lot of topics but does not divulge the details of planning to collectively deter Iran.

There is a new term introduced GCC+3. That would be the GCC consisting of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Oman. The plus 3 are Egypt, Jordan and Iraq. The group has been described as the Arabic NATO. That description has been soundly denied.

The United States is the tenth participant in the Summit group.

The American security guarantees in the area are now worthless. I don’t see an Arabic NATO with the level of mistrust and enmity among its potential members. This will devolve into a runaway nuclear arms race in the area.
