We are not slaves!..

Farmers in Italy, Spain and Poland have joined Dutch farmers in protest of 'green' government regulations that will decimate the industry by forcing them to reduce their use of nitrogen fertilizer compounds.

"We are not slaves, we are farmers," said Italian farmers, who drove tractors through the streets of Milan and blocked city traffic.

For the 400 million or so Europeans living in the clouds and not looking at what the Great Reset means to them (in this case, no more meat, for starters), I have to wonder whether they even know the HUGE FAVOR the farmers there are doing for them...of which I do know the answer.

Politicians running agriculture seems to work about as well as politicians running health care, or education, the power grid...

I say “no”. The 400 million or so Europeans will see the empty shelves and blame the farmer.

Wouldn't fertilizer reductions just turn Europe into a giant Sri Lanka?

Klaus Schwab’s Great Reset at work. Covid was just a prelude to what’s to come.

Would love to see something like this in Boston, when the day comes. Right now the ecofascists are too busy suggesting all farmers in MA grow weed instead of food. Genius.

“I say “no”. The 400 million or so Europeans will see the empty shelves and blame the farmer.”

You may be right, unfortunately.

I have worked in government most my life (retired recently).

Many government employees do give a shit.

But it's a system that is based on:

1. On a budget where the bottom line is not variable based on some consumers approval or disapproval of a product or service. There is a disconnect between the consumer and the service provider and you see this best as a civilian with the USPS, or what you see from the VA, etc. Folks get paid and the organization gets their budget, regardless.

2. Where those administering these agencies and departments are not thinking in terms of Return On Investment. Billions spent on “shovel ready jobs,” remember that? Why do you think you see little improvement on the true infrastructure? Any different with Biden and his BS infrastructure spending? Nope. Billions will go to pet projects, basically a form of kick back for having supported him, but very little will actually see its way to improving bridges, roads, dikes, dams, new water reservoirs, upgrading a power grid that has brown and black outs when it's hot or cold... etc.

3. The typical bureaucratic manager is highly risk adverse (never fail - that can end your career), but never really succeed and come up with something. You don't want to rock the boat either by stepping on someones toes and their kingdom or pet projects. All real opportunities carry some form of risk and government does not like that.

That is the “system” Americans are looking more and more towards as their solution to managing every problem and risk. This is a system that sells itself, wants to grow (every government agency wants a greater budget, more people and scope in powers), and is more than willing to accept on more responsibilities in every economic, social, education, health care, security facet, but beyond defense and some basic core functions it is really inept (not even effective - let alone efficient) at handling these tasks.

Here's another way to look at it.

Government is inherently a “political” apparatus.

EVERYTHING they touch, becomes a political issue because politics (how can I make myself look good and my opponent bad) and economics (how can I funnel billions towards a mega corporation which is paying for my campaign and party) creeps into all decisions.

It does not matter how minuscule or important the issue is. There are no moral (religious), no ethical (laws and corporate policy), no national/patriotic considerations... It does not matter if life, limb or eyesight are at stake. (((ANYTHING))) politicians touch is used in a chess game for them to gain or stay in power and to make those that back them richer. Politics is morally bankrupt and ethically relativistic.

Example: B. Clinton in Somalia (1993), Obama and Iraq (2011), H. Clinton in Benghazi (2012)... Issues where politics for ones own personal gain were driving the decisions these leaders were making which actually cost peoples lives!

Politicians and politics is no more than legalized corruption and if that sounds absurd, what do you think the job of a lobbyist is?

That's the system and people you want running everything (rhetorical question for those advocating ever more government)? A 16 year old kid can make better decisions than a M.D. Director NIAID Fauci. Do you really think Covid was handled according to the best “science” out there, to what the numbers were telling us? What other considerations might a Fauci have? Do you think elections may have played a role in what was done? Do you think the interests of big pharma were being considered? Do you think the best interests of the CDC/NIH were considered? And after that twisted the issue, do you think you really got a pure “empirical, scientific” solutions?

True with so many politicians nothing moves unless there’s money under the table.
Trump was one of the few that had his own money and he ended a lot of the kickbacks by he making the decision on what deal went down.
The good old boy club have been in on the scam for their entire career.

Biden is a good example of how the system works.

Many government employees do give a shit.

Maybe however they are out numbered by so many who will kiss feet (being nice) all in the name of their career it’s a damned shame too everyone gets a kick in the teeth by their actions.

Those are the senior executive schedules (not the first line or mid level managers).

IMHO, things began getting really bad under Obama.

It was always the case that Presidents used the power of their office to benefit themselves and their party, but under Obama and what I saw there in the DOJ, things became “ridiculous.” We had blatant voter suppression complaints and Holder shut those investigations down (New Black Panthers)...

Example: https://www.nytimes.com/1975/03/02/archives/the-nation-in-summary-presidents-fbi-misused-each-other-perhaps.html

It's no secret that FDR already used the FBI for his advantage (even before they had their name - historical fact at this point), but what happened under Obama was that things got worse by an order of magnitude.

He brought in folks like Holder, Lynch and Comey... and they appointed senior level bureaucrats under them who were complete political hacks (yeah, they suck d!#$). They brought in underlings that were on board with doing things that are immoral, unethical and frankly illegal as long as it achieves their political end state and they had an OBVIOUS pro-Democrat position.

That is how something like the illegal surveillance of Trump tower could happen, or why Gen Flynn was basically set-up... but then on the flip side the DOJ can't find Hunters laptop, goes on a crusade to find a personal journal that got lost for a Biden kid and has derogatory information in it, and comes up with an all new legal concept “extreme carelessness” with HRC’s personal server.

https://www.cnn.com/2016/07/05/politics/fbi-director-doesnt-recommend-charges-against-hillary-clinton/index.html (Extreme carelessness - there were files on her server that were at the TS SCI level, we know for a fact that others had found and accessed her server, i.e. other intel agencies)

But then you need to imagine this. Concurrently with that, this was happening: https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-08-19/sailor-denied-clinton-deal-gets-1-year-in-prison-for-6-photos-of-sub (He goes to jail, gets a dishonorable discharge... The personal pictures were not shared and contained information at the LOWEST classification level)

Nasty-

Mueller still had a semblance of neutrality, being objective and apolitical. But once Obama took office and he brought in his buffoons Holder, Lynch, Comey (they infected the DOJ top down)... the DOJ became like some Latin American/Caribbean police/intel service. It was comical, had it not been for real and affecting peoples lives.

Today you still see this in action. What do you think 6 January is about? The DOJ is letting itself be used as a political tool by politicians wanting to discredit, incarcerate the leadership of opposition groups, and intimidate their political opposition. Name me ONE demonstration/protest EVER where the FBI drops everything they are doing, and uses facial recognition, cellphone, bank and airline data to find ever protester and interview them, even if they did nothing wrong i.e. never entered the Capital (subject of a case)?

6 January is a political inquisition where the US intel and law enforcement agencies were used to basically set-up, and then take out the political opposition, by eliminating the leaders of major opposition groups (Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, etc), intimidating many of the followers, and discrediting them in the MSM (which is more than willing to play along). No one says it this way, but after 6 January, the US entered new and for us uncharted waters, we now have “political prisoners.” Do you realize that the only real charges they have (it all sounds bad but it's a bunch of nonsense fluff) is “trespassing.” Tell me, how often have you heard of people being locked up for months on charges of “trespassing?” And how often has the FBI reacted like this, before, during, or after 6 January when ANTIFA, BLM, or other protests were lighting federal court houses on fire (Portland OR), walking around armed, declaring part of a city as a sovereign state and shooting at cops?

Comey destroyed the FBI, and Holder/Lynch destroyed the DOJ. These organizations are politicized today. Their leadership is no longer apolitical and objective. They all know to pretend to and publicly claim they are impartial and neutral, but that is simply not the case. That is very dangerous for the Republic.
