The White House on Friday said Saudi Arabia has committed to increasing oil production in July and August—a move that will help "stabilize markets considerably."
The commitment from Saudi Arabia came after bilateral meetings between President Biden and administration officials and King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Said and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as Saudi Ministers.
"Saudi Arabia has committed to support global oil market balancing for sustained economic growth," the White House said. "We have welcomed the increase in production levels 50 percent above what was planned for July and August."
"These steps and further steps that we anticipate over the coming weeks have and will help stabilize markets considerably," the White House said.

Good. They will have all that global warming over there and we won’t have any of it because we’re not drilling.

This looks like PR and spin to me.
We’ll see if the Saudis are capable of ramping up production much more and if they actually do ramp up production much more.

Measured increases were already scheduled. A modest increase in the increase in concession to Biden’s visit may be expected for awhile, but it won’t make much difference. Saudis just being diplomatic.. Guess they are not “pariahs” anymore.

JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — The publisher and CEO of the Washington Post says it was “shameful” that President Joe Biden fist-bumped Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Friday.
Fred Ryan says in a statement that the informal greeting with the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia “Was worse than a handshake.”
U.S. intelligence agencies have said they believe the crown prince, known familiarly by his initials, MBS, gave the order that resulted in the brutal killing and dismemberment of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was a columnist for the paper.
Ryan added that the fist bump “projected a level of intimacy and comfort that delivers to MBS the unwarranted redemption he has been desperately seeking.”
Biden, as a presidential candidate, had promised to make the kingdom a “pariah” in response to the killing, but he moved to rebuild ties as global energy prices soared in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Actually, Saudi Arabia agreed to work within OPEC to assure production keeps the market prices in a stable condition
Saudi Arabia is not unilaterally going to increase production at the behest of the USA

Bidens bosses have moved some refineries over to refining bio fuels.....Satan is running the whitehouse. You mean Biden's EO to increase the % of ethanol?
To: ding_dong_daddy_from_dumas
I don’t know I saw another story that said that they’re importing a lot of oil from Russia which means that they’re not actually increasing production time they’re just acting as a front man for Russian oil

That is part of the story. Biden wants to appear to be be a hero “doing everything he can” to lower oil prices but the real rulers of “our” government want us to suffer, so that we will welome a switch to “green energy” (which is powered by fossil fuels at this time anyway).
