President Biden faces a Monday deadline to forestall a freight train rail strike that could further aggravate the nation’s supply chain problems.
Railroads and union workers have been unable to reach an agreement on a new contract and the rail companies are now seeking intervention from the Biden administration, which is weighing the appointment of an arbitration board to recommend a settlement.
The unions and rail companies are at the end of a 30-day “cooling-off” period that ends Monday, and without presidential intervention, a strike could be imminent.

America is weak and vulnerable in so many ways. Effects of occasional events like strikes are amplified. Just imagine what a hurricane in the Gulf would do since Biden destroyed the petroleum industry.

As a thought, why go full strike now? Suggest they just slow things down incrementally until a strike say 4-6 weeks from now. Time it with CA law to crash all at once.
Give Joey Crappy Pants multiple national issues to deal with at same time. Overload his pea brain and get him really really mad. Then watch him implode.
I see what you mean but they want the system to collapse. Everything they have done or not done is accomplishing that.

The Virginia Creeper railway path was turned into a bike trail because the railroad was to haul chestnut logs down the mountain, but a blight killed all of the chestnuts so that was curtains for the railroad.
