A Washington, DC, police officer has corroborated to the House select committee investigating January 6, 2021, details regarding a heated exchange former President Donald Trump had with his Secret Service detail when he was told he could not go to the US Capitol after his rally, a source familiar with the matter tells CNN.
The officer with the Metropolitan Police Department was in the motorcade with the Secret Service for Trump on January 6 and recounted what was seen to committee investigators, according to the source.
A spokesperson for the committee declined to comment. A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police Department did not immediately respond to comment.
The description of the angry exchange between Trump and his Secret Service detail was a striking moment during the June testimony from former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson. Hutchinson said that she heard a secondhand account told to her by then-White House deputy chief of staff Tony Ornato that Trump was so enraged at his Secret Service detail for blocking him from going to the Capitol on the day of the insurrection that "he reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel" and "then used his free hand to lunge towards" his Secret Service lead agent Robert Engel. Hutchinson testified that Ornato told her the story in front of Engel and he did not dispute the account.
Neither of the agents named in the testimony have commented publicly on Hutchinson's testimony. But soon after it, a Secret Service official who would only speak on background, said Engel would deny parts of the story regarding Trump grabbing at the steering wheel and lunging toward an agent on his detail. You are right. It would be illegal for the Secret Service to take the President to a location against his will. Imagine what the federal charges would be against some random citizen who did that.
The January 6th committee pretends that it is investigating people who supposedly interfered with a governmental function. Detaining the President seems to be an example of that.

This DC police officer is of the same caliber as the Uvalde, TX officers that stood in the hallway while innocent children were being slaughtered.

Number Two in importance is that inasmuch it was neither pre-planned nor wanted, it cannot be a part of a Trump-initiated "Insurrection."
And Thirdly, if some of the adventitious migration of the gathering to the Capitol Building became unruly, the unanticipated dubious reactions of the Capitol Police was not something for which they were planned.
The majority of the citizens attending to exhibit their disapoointment in the mysterious outcome of the election process was NOT a widely recognized plan to destroy government property as was being done in other contemporary nationwide antifa/BLM, although some of it was from determined provocation of criminal-mined social activists.
The whole J6 Committe activism is of he same nature so as to blow up the unruliness way out of proportion, giving the media opportunity to make hay out of its reported magnitude.
To me. it is a part of the attempt to destroy Donald Truno's well-deserved reputation as a remarkably excellent achiever to restore Constitutional Americanism and economy.

DC Police lied about Seth Rich and were told to contact Donna Brazile if any other agencies / entities inquired about Seth Rich’s murder - and they did just that.

Is it a lie? Who knows. But it’s all we have.
Anyone who can prove it’s a lie (anyone who can prove that the agents really wanted to go back to the committee to testify, but weren’t allowed to do so by the committee) will be an internet star.
So have at it everybody. Otherwise, we must believe it’s the truth, and such a claim was false. (no agent was really willing to testify Hutchinson’s testimony was false). That’s how reality works.
Here’s the thing though, regardless whether or not Trump tried to grab the steering wheel: (don’t know if anyone else has thought this through this way too but everyone should).
Either:
1. Trump, because he really DID want to go the Capitol that day, (at least, if not trying to grab the wheel) at least yelled at his driver(s), staff, etc, in the vehicle (whatever it was, doesn’t matter if it was the “beast” or not) to take him back to the Capitol, and no one listened to him despite yelling “I’m the ****ing President” at them, and thus practically kidnapped him all the way back to the White House. OR...
2. It’s all a lie, everything, he never complained at all about going directly back to the WH, and actually happily went back, because he never intended to go to the Capitol, despite his words to the contrary, leaving all those who supported him, who marched into the Capitol, and later got charged for “sedition” or whatever, hundreds of people (not to mention Babbitt who got shot and killed), he left all of them to whither on the vine, as he amused himself watching it all unfold for hours on television.
One can NOT escape either 1 or 2 above. It’s impossible for there to be a third possibility. It’s either 1 or 2, period. There’s no way there can be any other. So, either Trump is an ineffectual leader after all, unable to order even his own staff to take him where he wishes to go (#1), OR, he’s as egotistical and callous as CNN/the left claims.
The Jan 6 Committee is of course, a Democrat ploy to exploit Republican stupidity that day to maximal effect. Pure petty politics of course.
But that doesn’t mean it’s, again, impossible, to conclude either #1 or #2 above. And that fact alone, should tell everyone, anyone who still has any capacity to reason left (who’s not blinded by the con man Trump clearly is), all they need to know about the man.
Vote DeSantis in 2024, if he runs. Or anyone else but Trump. It’s our only hope. It’s the only hope for the country.
