On Thursday, Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the creation of a new task force aimed at increasing access to abortion and other so-called “reproductive rights” following the historic Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
According to CNN, the “Reproductive Rights Task Force” will be chaired by Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta. The group’s purpose will be to “monitor and evaluate” abortion laws at the state and local levels, including bans on abortion-inducing drugs and laws imposing criminal charges for those who aid and abet abortions.
“The Court abandoned 50 years of precedent and took away the constitutional right to abortion, preventing women all over the country from being able to make critical decisions about our bodies, our health, and our futures,” Gupta said in a statement, falsely equating abortion with constitutional rights. “The Justice Department is committed to protecting access to reproductive services.”
Biden had previously signed an executive order that intended to use the full force of the federal government to protect abortion. Following the announcement, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued its own guidance for healthcare providers with regards to abortion.
In his speech, where he frequently slurred his words and made numerous mistakes, Biden specifically called on the DOJ to take action. “Much like they did in the civil rights era,” Biden said, ordering the DOJ “to do something, to do everything in their power to protect these women seeking to invoke their rights.”
However, despite Biden’s latest promises, the White House has rejected some of the most radical proposals from the far-left, including expanding the Supreme Court and using federal lands such as national parks to set up abortion clinics. Biden has called for eliminating the filibuster in order to pass a law that would codify the conditions of Roe v. Wade into federal law.
Eliminating the filibuster in order to pass a law that would codify the conditions of Roe v. Wade into federal law does not change the fact that abortion is not an enumerated federal power.
How is killing a baby in the womb “reproducing”??
Decrepit Old Fool plans to violate the constitution by overriding states’ rights forcing states to conform to federal rules.
“The Court abandoned 50 years of precedent”
They “abandoned” a precedent set 50 years ago, which abandoned a precedent set 180 years before it. Apparently they only consider a USSC decision to be “settled law” when they favor it.
These fools can’t even name something correctly. Termination of a pregnancy is not reproduction. Dumba$$es
Are you a Biologist? ROFL
The DOJ is rolling out NON reproductive rights.
Abortion NEVER produces live babies. Only dead ones.
Isn’t that what they did with “gay marriage” and male transgenders in girls showers and bathrooms?
And many other things the feds have no business interfering or over ruling States.
Well, sometimes they are born alive..but they leave them die or kill them outright.
Just so Biden can lose again?
I doubt if Dementia Joe is going to win any fights with a tough fighter like DeSantis over state's rights.
When they have to label it with a lie (‘Reproductive Rights’) that’s all anyone needs to know. The truth doesn’t require creative marketing, spin or positioning. It is what it is. They want life in the womb killer anywhere, anytime.
What a sick government we have.
Wow! Sorry about her birth defect! Imagine going through life with a face like that!
A year ago, that would’ve been a Babylon Bee headline.
We are living in bizzaro world.
What about the 200 years of constitutional precedence before that? Killing babies was never in the constitution.
Vanita Gupta is an anchor baby. She is NOT an American. She is a fraud who needs to be deported. /spit
following the historic Supreme Court decision on Second Amendment rights, did I miss The Announcement that the DOJ created a Gun Rights Task Force?
The administration is a massive glob of stupidity and arrogance. A really bad combination.
