U.S. inflation reached 9.1% in June, its highest rate in nearly 41 years.

The consumer-price index’s reading for June was higher than May’s annual rate of 8.6% that led Fed officials to shift to a faster pace of interest rate increases.

Stock futures turned negative after the release of the data. Investors are closely watching the data for clues about the outlook for central-bank policy and the wider economy.

It’s all about the restriction of “free money”; the so-called stimulus cash printed by fiat.
This money has dried up and there are no give-aways foreseen in the near future.
Fed Interest Rate manipulation is only half the story.
Free Money is the other half.

The GOP doesn’t have enough candidates for the blue state mid-terms. All those Congressional Districts are potentially up for grabs, but they’ve been run as Dem fiefdoms since forever.
