When G7 leaders wrapped up their summit last week, they offered an indication of how they will try to ramp up their governments’ underwhelming efforts to help developing countries fight climate change.
It came in their closing statement’s commitment to pursue Just Energy Transition Partnerships, or JETPs – an emerging mechanism that has thus far received little attention, in this part of the world at least, but could transform the way that dollars flow from richer nations such as Canada.

A transfer of wealth from the people to green tech companies with pols getting kickbacks and nothing will improve in those third world countries.
Saw an article a while back where they set up some little village of dirt floor shacks with solar panels and then left. The people living there used too much power, killed the batteries which were never replaced and that was the end of it.
They’ll do the same thing on a larger scale and the same thing will happen. No one will maintain those $10 million dollar wind turbines. Some turbine company will make money, pols will get kickbacks and foolish liberals will feel good for a few minutes.

The “green” in the “green new deal” is a metaphor for greenbacks and kickbacks.
Yes. The money will be received by those who loudly cry about climate change. They take the cream off the top and just waste the rest of the money Canada provides.
Canadians feel good because they are fighting climate change but ate in truth throwing money down a rat hole. Feeling good is expensive
