Voters sick of Biden, Trump may look to independent candidate in 2024 White House race
The Washington Times - ^ | July 6 | By Susan Ferrechio

Voters, unenthusiastic about a Trump vs. Biden rematch in 2024, are increasingly open to dumping the Republican and Democrat ticket entirely for an independent candidate.

Two recent polls show a majority of Republican, Democratic and independent voters would consider a “moderate independent candidate” for president if President Biden and former President Trump run again in 2024.

“Our observed aversion to the former and current president as voters begin thinking about 2024 tickets is a major opening for an independent presidential ticket,” Mark Penn, chairman of the Harvard-CAPS Harris Poll, which conducted the two surveys, said.

The poll of registered voters, taken at the end of June, found that 60% would consider an independent candidate in 2024 if Biden and Trump are their respective party’s nominees in 2024.

Among Democrats, the number rose to 64%, while 53% of Republicans said they’d weigh an independent candidate. Among independent and other unaffiliated voters, the number shot up to 66% who are willing to give an independent candidate a close look.

Is this a military operation you’re talking about or a whole new massive federal bureaucracy with tens of thousands of enforcers. Taking all those workers out of the economy is almost as boneheaded as a Covid shutdown. Tell me, who will round them up? Where are the facilities to house them while processing? Where is the plan for coordination between local and state and your massive new federal department of deportation? Where will you replace the loss of over half of California’s produce? Do you have any clue how much illegally grown and picked produce you eat? Of course, you have millions of anxious minimum wage legal workers just waiting to put the next roof on your house. Your laughable send them all back now ideas are probably similar, I’ll speculate, to your simplistic just send more billions to Ukraine.

Perot was one of the America’s deceivers and helped give us a democrat America.

On social issues, Perot did not fit the stereotype of the conservative Southerner. He was, in fact, pro-choice on abortion (“Yes, it’s a woman’s choice”); for gay rights (“We are a country of individual rights, and it’s that simple to me”); in favor of gun control (“I can’t believe the gun lobby wants the crazies to have machine guns”); and for increased AIDS research (“Now, we’ve got to really blitz and get it done.”)

A lot of people who voted third party in 2016 voted for Biden in 2020 - the Biden campaign heavily targeted these people of all political stripes, painting Biden as “good ol’ Joe” and someone they could be comfortable with vs. the nasty and divisive Trump and unlike Hillary that they had chosen not to vote for before. It worked, and Trump’s campaign sat on their behinds and did nothing to respond to this narrative - Biden’s campaign had complete domination of the campaign narrative for the last several months of the campaign. There was so much material and raw video of Biden to counter this narrative, and it was simply not done - it was infuriating to sit helplessly and watch it. More than enough to have swung the election, regardless of any ballot stuffing that occurred.

Let me add that if there is indeed the Biden vs. Trump rematch, these people no longer think Biden is “good ol’ Joe” as he was falsely portrayed and would go back to voting third party or not voting at all. That could indeed benefit Trump - as his own base is not going to vote 3rd party, and “Joe’s base” was really a “hate Trump” base and not a pro-Biden base.

“Harvard-CAPS poll”

They must have surveyed Somerville and Cambridge.

Don’t need either. State-level civilian militia would suffice, since that is whom the Constitution cites for the federal government to call on even to execute the functions delegated to it. We’ve all seen the depredations of “federal” centralization.

The man who locked down, restricted travel of American citizens cannot possibly be middle of the road.. mail in ballots= trump,bump-stock ban= trump.
I would hate to see the left side, if this is true.

Who restricted travel of US citizens?

And who warned against mail-in voting?

I see you filled your reply with nonsequiturs and red herrings. Shutdowns continued at state level, not federal. Not to mention your support of the RINO position on illegal alien invasion for the second time. Have a nice day.

Tell your friend its just a guess, as there really isnt a line on how far each individual will finally have had enough of corruption. I think most of the Denmark farmers have each reached the “line”.

Time for agriculture to automate…almost all crops can be picked by machine. Time for “Manuel” to be replaced by “Otto”

You can zap 15% or more of the total work force plus another 2% to zap them with and the economy rolls on. You and you’re magic wand. Why don’t you cure cancer in that dream world of yours while you’re at it.
