The suspected gunman in the deadly shooting at an Independence Day parade in Highland Park, Illinois, had prior contact with law enforcement, police said Tuesday.
Robert "Bobby" E. Crimo III, 21, had two previous encounters with police in Highland Park, with the most recent in September 2019 over a "mental health issue" in which Crimo threatened to kill members of his family, Christopher Covelli, a spokesman for the Lake County Major Crime Task Force said in a news briefing.

Typical Antifa type.
Threatened to kill himself and shortly thereafter his whole family....but mental health experts were handling it.
Well.....there.....you....go.
Form 4473 didn’t do much to stop this jackwad, did it?
Again, the state sails us, just like uvalde.
Again, the state fails us, just like uvalde.
This nutcase shouldn’t have been able to buy guns
If cross dressing is not considered a mental health issue then why should anything else be?
“Crimo threatened to kill members of his family” - the police should have logged that in as a crime and Crimo wouldn’t have be able to get a gun
And to cement “F**k the Fourth” into America’s psyche.
Well, no "red flags" there! /s
And speaking of red flags, does there really need to be a specific red flag law for a situation like that? There should have been demands that the family get that kid help then and close follow up by both the police and the courts.
I guess the FBI didn’t tell the Police how he has been in their custody for the last 3 months training for this exercise...
So if he lied on his 4473, then he did NOT purchase the guns legally.
His uncle had no issues with this as no warning signs were evident... Rightio.
Lmfaooo!!!
Criminals don’t follow laws and law enforcement don’t enforce laws. That area has ban on ar-15 and has red flag laws.
We’re on our own, which is okay I guess.
A threat involving knives would seem to be aggravated assault in Illinois. Was he charged and sentenced?
So tell me again how someone who is known to police on two separate occasions, for threatening to kill his family, and has a collection of knives and a sword removed from his home, gets to buy a weapon “legally?”

So sending a social worker didn’t help.
