Jump out of a perfectly good airplane, charge a machine gun nest, be stationed at Ft. Irwin – these are just three of the myriad miseries American patriots are willing to endure to defend our country. But today's military is asking too much of our young people, as evidenced by the crashing recruitment rates that threaten to deplete a military already running short of soldiers. Have our young people suddenly turned from heroes to zeros, ne'er-do-well heirs of the brave warriors who confronted the forces of tyrannical gun control at Lexington and Concord?
No. The kids are alright. The problems lie echelons above.
Here's a little leadership secret that's actually not a secret at all to competent commissioned and non-commissioned officers. There are no bad cohorts of soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, Coast Guardsmen and whatever the hell Space Force people are called. There are only bad leaders, and we have the worst military leadership in American history, starting right at the top with a commander-in-chief who is less like Ike than Beavis.
In fact – and this rips me up to say because I would not trade my about 27 years in the Army for anything – the reluctance to enlist of the traditional, normal Americans who are most likely to serve and who are the most desirable for service, is entirely rational. You do have an obligation to serve your country in some way, the military being the highest and best way for those who are able. But you do not have an obligation to do so if your life is going to be squandered by a leadership whose strategies are a disaster, whose priorities are not the defense of this country but some sort of bizarre pan-global progressive ideology...

That means 93.9% is still hetero. I would prefer 100%, but that’s how it is.
Plus the black man didn’t demand standards to be lowered so his kind to be allowed to see her ce. In fact, he showed the white elite that he was every bit ss good we his white counterparts. He was a net plus to the military.

We live in a different America than my time in the military. I would have difficulty today reconciling fighting for blue state progressives who opt to avoid the military. My solution - resurrect the draft, but for blue states only. That is the best way to get them to leave the country and become Canada’s problem. lol

You’re right. It is worse than me being fat. It took years to get this way and nothing short of starvation can reverse it quickly. Only drastic means will work in anything less than a very long time and we don’t have a very long time.
We need a war footing type of effort led by very smart, very tough men who will cull with a sabre and back fill from the ranks with any and every true leader they can find.
The cries will be deafening at the roughshod abuse but guess what, just like now, the politicians haven’t thing one to say about it and can do less.

And if that all it were, I could almost understand it. But white males must not only accept it; but undergo indoctrination about how racist and homopobic they are and can do nothing to "undo" or overcome it; and celebrate their fellow service members for their sexuality and skin color. Things that are supposed to have nothing to do with completing military missions. If they don't like it, they better give no hint of displeasure of it. Grudging tolerance is not acceptable. Welcoming acceptance while understanding how wrong they are themselves is the mental state the top leaders are trying to inculcate.
As former military, I would never volunteer to join today.
With CRT indoctrination, homosexuals being allowed to openly serve, the requirement to say the right pronouns, mandatory Covid vaccinations and Biden as CIC. Forget it.
When I was a lieutenant who feuded with my Battery Commander and Battalion Commander, who had my back? My black Group Commander, a Colonel who eventually pinned on stars.
When I had a dustup with a Captain (still a 1st LT...lol), who had my back? A black Captain. He mystified the rest of the Battalion staff by offering me a job.
When I was appointed Battalion S-4, who had my back? That's right, the six black soldiers and NCOs that comprised the rest of the section. It didn't hurt I had been in the battalion for nearly 4 years, we knew each other well.
We turned it into the best S-4 in 32nd AADCOM, as was noted during our IG inspection.
I discouraged my several godly patriotic sons from joining the military due to the increasing depravity. Did not want them serving under Obama etc and can’t trust the American people to elect even a reasonable commander in chief.
This just shows how out of touch our leaders are. Good luck trying to resurrect the draft, there will be the same resistance to it now as there was during Vietnam if not more. And they screwed up big time mandating the covid vaxx. We have a bunch of arrogant fools running the show these days.
Yep, when standards are kept or raised, men of quality of any color will rise to the occasion.
the problem is, the ones to follow will have been forcefed all this wokecrap for most of their military careers, and a strong vetting must take place to stop the rot...
