Sgt. Rick Alexander of Haltom City police said during a briefing that the three officers did not suffer any life-threatening injuries, as one officer was hit in the right arm, finger and leg, a second male officer hit in both legs and a third officer hit in upper thigh.
An elderly female had called 911 and police arrived at the residence where officers returned fire during the incident, Alexander said. The elderly female sustained non-life threatening injuries. A woman was found dead in the home and a man was found dead outside, Alexander said.
The suspected gunman was described as a white male with dark hair who was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and had a military style rifle handgun near him, police said. It is not yet known the relationship between the victims and the shooter.
"The main concern is getting the scene secure, trying to get to our officers, be able to get them out of harms way while also trying to keep containment on the suspect," Alexander said, WFAA reported.
The Texas Rangers will be taking over the investigation.

SB AR with a forearm brace stock?
It also led directly to the formulation of Coulter’s Law, which should always be applied when the race of the perp isn’t mentioned. It will only very rarely lead you wrong.
Hello.
Hey, this is Haltom City, TX. We just sold our 2nd home there. It’s a bedroom community of Fort Worth. Nice quiet place to live. Low crime. Likely because everybody has guns! Just don’t piss off the old people LOL!
I’m 72 now and have at least two 12 Gauge Mossbergs similar to that already... One is a breacher and the other is a JIC Sandstorm....but they can kick pretty hard for me. I put in a set of those OPSOL rubber inserts that allow you to shoot the shorter 1 3/4” shells from Aguila, Challenger, etc. They work pretty well and the loads are much less recoil, and you don’t have to fool with a bulky drum/extended magazine.
But I still wanted something that could hold 5+1 of some good spread pattern for 000 or lesser similar....and easy on my poor old bones. And it’s pretty light, considering :0)
I have Knoxx Recoil Reducing Stocks/Grips on both of the two I mentioned already....
The one caution I have with them is that protrusions like that Red plastic covered lever are BS and potential bites, and the other is that you have to be very careful about how and where you mount optics on them (the shotguns if you use them).
Basically, anything you need to “cheek up” and get a good sight picture. I still have the very first Knoxx recoil grip. A big, bulky damaging POS that I just pulled off and hung up with a note on it to myself to NEVER put it on anything. The newer ones? They are much more slim-lined and better engineered...... That was my first lesson on not to buy any new concept or idea right off....
“he suspected gunman was described as a white male with dark hair...”
Smart move to call out the race of the perp, if trying to avoid another city burning down.
The question becomes: Why is the media trying to keep this US city (or town) from being torched?
I must have a later version as mine does not have the red lever.
ANYTHING you mount these on you have to make sure that if you have to cheek-weld to the gun that the stock (Knoxx included) is mounted on doesn’t have any protrusions that could bite.
;^)
Well done. I had forgotten that one.

Boy, Blake’s later life was a dumpster fire.
See...that’s why it pays to read the comments before posting. I wouldn’t have embarrassed myself by repeating the Robert Blake meme. LOL.
It sure was.
Sounds like a Jacuzzi to me.
