Zeldin promises to remove DA Alvin Bragg in ‘expedited’ process if elected

Republican gubernatorial hopeful Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-Suffolk) promised on Monday that he would launch an “expedited” process to remove controversial Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg on “Day One” if elected governor this November.

“[There’s] going to be an expedited process where we already have enough facts in front of us that he is refusing to enforce the law and I believe he should be removed and I believe that it is my constitutional duty to get it done,” Zeldin said Monday morning at GOP headquarters in Albany.

Polling, fundraising and endorsements suggest Zeldin has an edge in the June 28 GOP primary over former White House staffer Andrew Giuliani, businessman Harry Wilson and former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino.

Zeldin has been everywhere. He got started early, and never really let up. If there’s a prize for outworking the other candidates, he won it, along with the primary. I understand not everyone has the energy and the stomach for the rubber chicken circuit. But to the extent you want to win, it certainly doesn’t hurt. Will Zeldin be NY’s first MOT governor? Fingers crossed, knock on wood.

Promises promises! Where did I Hear that before? Oh yeah I remember they promised to repeal Obamacare if we gave them all three branches and we did. But as soon as they took the oath they backstab their base all the way to kingdom come. I don’t believe nothing these RINO establishment career politicians say anymore. Hardly ever happens, but there hasn’t been a DA like Bragg, ever, in NYC’s history. Sure, some DA’s are liberal. But this guy is simply ignoring the law.

I’m hoping Hochul stands by the Manhattan DA. She needs the black votes. That will give Zeldin a potent issue for November. Anyone who wants Bragg out on his butt should vote for Zeldin.
