Top Biden Officials Reveal Plans To Continue Pushing Climate Agenda If Supreme Court Blocks EPA

Leading Biden officials outlined their methods to keep pushing the administration’s climate agenda if the Supreme Court limits the powers of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Wednesday.

The Supreme Court is likely to weaken the Biden administration’s efforts to limit carbon dioxide emissions in West Virginia v. EPA, with several of the justices having probed the extent of EPA’s authority in oral arguments. President Joe Biden’s senior officials remain confident in their ability to advance the administration’s aggressive environmental agenda by using the Clean Air Act and other government powers.

During a panel at the Aspen Ideas Festival, EPA Administrator Michael Regan promised to deploy a “suite of tools” including the Clean Air Act to regulate the power sector, regardless of the Supreme Court’s coming ruling.

“We have a suite of regulations that we can present to the power sector in one fell swoop,” Regan said.

The Biden administration is focused on ways to advance the ball on climate change policy and is prepared for multiple scenarios depending on what the Supreme Court decides and how far they go, according to Regan.

Oh, a meeting at the Aspen Idea Festival? Yeah, you don't just bike over to Aspen. And like a couple of other recent rulings, it appears that they'll follow mad max's advice and simply say "F" the supreme court. 😵‍💫🤬🤡 I especially like this line from Regan: "...depending on what the Supreme Court decides and how far they go...". "How far THEY go"? WTAF is that supposed to mean? Rhetorical.

“We have a suite of regulations that we can present to the power sector in one fell swoop,” Regan said.

IOW, the Constitution be damned, the seperation of powers be damned and King Biden has a magic pen and will dictate from here on out.

Shutter the EPA and rid all of government of anything green. Our nation cannot be destroyed by mindless followers of a teenage Swedish retard.

Sounds like the Commie-Rats will simply take an existing regulation and ratchet it down a lot making coal and natural gas unable to meet the new regulations achieving the same objective without targeting CO2 directly.

Seems like they always have plans at hand to work around any impediments to their agenda. They’re much less ready to deal with the consequences of their actions like shortages and dead migrants.

It’ll take at least a year to undo all the EOs and policy changes made by activist bureacrats before they can even consider new red tape!

The ruling doesn’t go that far. We have a lot of more work to do. We need to recognize that as long as the EPA, and other environmental laws, Democrats will invent ways of misconstruing and abusing their powers. They will take a different approach after West Virginia v. EPA. That approach may go against existing law. That approach may go against the constitution. Then an appropriate case needs to be found, sent through lower courts and make its way to the Supreme Court. That takes time and often more damage is done during the time.

Quite simply, Democrats are weaponizing every part of government without writing new law. The only was to stop that is to completely eliminate and shutter the parts of the federal government that Congress has created and does not appear as an enumerated power in the US Constitution.

So predictable, isn't it? "Screw SCOTUS, we will do what we want. We are going to double-down. You stupid rubes quit complaining about us doubling your energy prices because we are going to keep doubling them until everything is electric."

They all speak as tyrants...because they ARE! They are the perfect central planners following their five-year plans.

[The transition to green energy] “is not going to live and die by the Supreme Court’s decision tomorrow” -- Gina McCarthy

“We just need to double down” -- Gina McCarthy

“We’re not going to lose our stride, the only thing we’re going to try to continue to do is to go faster” -- Gina McCarthy

“Clean energy is the winner, whether you like it or not it already is” -- Gina McCarthy

“It’s not a matter of whether clean energy is the future it’s about how quickly we want to go” -- Michael Regan

The thing that really galls me is that, when you do a complete systems life-cycle analysis, "clean energy" is actually far dirtier than fossil fuels. Worse, it makes us grovel before our enemies for the necessary materials and weakens our national defense posture.

“We have a suite of regulations that we can present to the power sector in one fell swoop,” Regan said.”

The states and the power sector will be swiftly back in court, reminding the EPA “no you don’t” have powers to regulate CO2 anyway you want, because the Supreme Court has said Congress has never, and must, pass a law or laws to lay out all the particulars of that, BECAUSE CONGRESS NEVER HAS!!!!
