a victory on paper but a loss at the polls.
Get ready for the mass invasion folks.
And this invasion will be paid by the taxpayers who supply these invaders with all sorts of welfare benefits.
They weren’t following it anyway. Only way to stop is to change potus and states to build own wall etc
You know what the dems will do and make a lot more people turn against them ,LOL
The caravans are forming already, tens of thousands of destitute 3rd world immigrants, welcomed by the Biden Admin.
Gotta get ‘em in before the mid-terms so they can vote.
Roberts, and who else voted with the nutbars?
If and it’s a big IF there is ever a solution to the southern border and immigration, it must come from the legislature and signed into law by the President.
Starting with Obama, executive orders to effect immigration have gone back and forth, Obama and Biden want no border, Trump wanted a closed border.
Basically, if one administration issues and executive order, another administration should be able to rescind it.
Based on my limited understanding of this case, the court ruled, Biden had the power to reverse an executive order Trump issued.
Overall, conservatives have to be happy with the outcomes.
A President should be able to decide immigration policy but they would allow Trump to do so. When he gets back in this decision will help him (assuming lower courts followed thr law which they most likely won’t when Rats aren’t in power)
I expected this. No current president is bound by the executive orders of the previous one.
We don’t want a court to say that honestly.
So, when Trump becomes president again, he can resend on day ONE every single Executive Order of Bidens :)
see how it works :)
Kavanaugh disappoints once again
We need Congress to get these “invasion” policies in line. Looks like we have to wait till at least the fall.
Well, to rule otherwise would make any policy an administration sets, set in stone, forever.
I don’t think we want that, with the policies Joe Biden (Read: Barack Obama) has set.
We knew “back then” than executive orders were only as good as, and only lasted as long as, the President who issued them. It was at the time a major beef with the do-nothing Ryan-McConnell Congress.
5-4 ruling. Let me guess……..Roberts strikes again?
The article at the website made no mention of who decided what.
I love Trump and I loved the remain in Mexico policy, but until it’s codified in law, it was just an executive branch policy. I would have been surprised (pleasantly) if Biden would have been held to it. The fix to this requires a conservative congress that can pass a law with equivalent effect and a POTUS who will sign that law.
I can see where the court is coming from. To me, it makes it clear that Chief Executive fiats are only temporary. Our problem is that we have a Congress that is unwilling to write law to defend our border. We have a deep state and Resident that is unwilling to enforce existing law. And we have a Congress that is unwilling to provide oversight to the Resident and deep state.
Kavanaugh and Roberts sided with the 3 lefty justices

Roberts sides with the globalists again.
How many FReepers who are making comments critical of (insert justice’s name here) have READ the opinion?
I thought so.
