The court's ruling prevents Biden from instituting the sort of sweeping emissions rules the EPA tried to implement under the Obama administration The case declares it unlawful for federal agencies to make 'major' decisions without clear authorization from Congress

Wickard v Filburn 1943 is the case where SCOTUS ruled that an Illinois farmer, growing wheat on his own land for his own use, with no intent to sell it, impacts interstate commerce. That ruling is what gives Congress the authority to basically classify anything, including you picking your nose in the closet with the light turned out, as impacting interstate commerce. Kill Wickard behind the barn with an axe.
That sound you hear is liberal heads exploding. Trump’s trifecta at the Supreme Court...right to bear arms reaffirmed, Roe v Wade ended and now the EPA neutered. We have great reason to celebrate our independence this 4th.
The Roberts court is ten miles from ideal, but their legacy will be the states and legislative bodies gaining power.
Let’s not forget Alito and Clarence Thomas - not Trump picks, but solid conservatives as well.
Nothing would crush Putin’s spirit like us reopening closed coal mines and pulling the coal trains out of storage this summer.
It will never happen under Biden, but it would have been glorious.
My pleasure. That case is the underpinnings to the modern administrative State.

But then why do Supremes never seem to be bothered when Congress makes clear authorizations without likewise clear, constitutionally enumerated powers?
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
Insights welcome.
Also, Trump's red tsunami of patriot supporters are reminded that they must vote twice this election year. Your first vote is to primary career RINO incumbents. Your second vote is to replace outgoing Democrats and RINOs with Trump-endorsed patriot candidates.
Again, insights welcome.
Coming up, regulate carbon dioxide emissions by putting a meter on the face masks we all have to wear.
Too much and the mask will automatically close off breathing.
This was used for Obamacare, correct?
Look at some pie graphs showing the co2 percentage. You'll laugh. I say the earth is self balancing...and climate has nothing to do with it.
You can file endless lawsuits now, gum up the works, and have the regulators stuck in court for years. You’re right, this ruling has ramifications in many areas.
Deep State, Administrative State, not much difference. Needs to be brought down to size! The People rule, not unelected bureaucrats.
“This was used for Obamacare, correct?”
As I recall, in SCOTUS’ ruling on ACA, they did in fact draw some lines around the Federal government’s power under Wickard, but not nearly enough.
Praise the Lord!
Absolutely. Alito and Thomas are national heroes. No greater American patriots and defenders of the Constitution than those two.
How many CO2s will be sacrificed to reach their goals? #CO2LM! Great for a T-shirt with wilting plant behind. Right after the “GRAND TRUMP AUTO!” T-shirt. 😜
In celebration I just let go some of my own personal “green house” gases in the general direction of DC!!!
A lesbian, the “wise” Latina, and a leftist who is retiring to be replaced with a nomination based solely on race, gender and political bias....
And, you can count on Chief Justice Roberts to fall in with the left from time to time, too (ala ObamaCare IS a tax, and it is not.) Nominated by that W Bush idiot........ we shoulda seen him coming, but didn’t (or didn’t want to.) I fell for voting for him twice. Of that, I am sorely and penitently ashamed, frankly.
Only a sure thing if it reaches the current SCOTUS
The governor of Texas said he would take action against the EPA if he does not hear back from them by June 29.
I wonder if this ruling will stop the EPA trying to shutdown 40% of the oil produced domestically.
