I am extremely happy to be alive. My wife and I have four beautiful children and four grandchildren. God has blessed me with a life that has been exceptional in many ways. From twenty years in commercial broadcasting, twelve years as a US Congressman, and thirteen years as VP of a firearms ballistic company helping build their technology into the leading ballistics identification methodology in the World, it has been a fantastic ride.
My birth mother decided not to use abortion as birth control. Instead, she walked into the Florence Crittenden Home for Unwed Mothers and gave me my life. Thanking God that she did is the first thing I do every morning as I ride this old rock we call Earth around the sun for nearly the eighty-fourth time.
The narrative built over the years that abortion was a “woman’s right” is invalid. The Supreme Court just invalidated that mode of thought.
A more accurate definition of the “woman’s right to choose” narrative would be to view abortion as a way of birth control, no different than a condom or birth control pill. However, wrapping abortion in the emotional blanket of a woman’s right to choose has helped make the issue incendiary on both sides. Common sense and calm, reasoned debate have not been in place since Roe v Wade was first signed into law.
One issue both sides agree on is what action to take when a mother’s life is endangered. Based upon the Hippocratic Oath, an oath of ethics taken by doctors for centuries “to do no harm,” a doctor who makes a well-informed decision that aborting a child is the only way to save a mother’s life, an abortion must be performed.
There will be much cheering on one side and gnashing of teeth on the other. I pray the demonstration of these feelings is kept civil and does not run rampant out of control.
Regardless of the Supreme Court ruling, I am grateful my mother chose birth over abortion for me. My life has had its ups and downs, but it was my privilege to have experienced those actions. The Supreme Court took the correct direction. Too many people have forgotten that our country’s Constitution is built on Biblical principles. George Washington is known as the “Praying President.”
I’ll close with a political statement. Sadly, politicians on both sides of the issue will continue to use abortion for their own personal gain. Some will be engaged due to strong personal feelings, as they should be. Bottom line, very sadly, it will get messy with even less honest debate than in the past.
Supreme Court, thank you for doing your job as prescribed by the US Constitution.
Thank you, mom, for letting me live.
Thank you, God, for each new day in this country of laws, not men.
I likewise posit that SCOTUS also did its Constitutional duty by rejecting election fraud cases.
Standing is a correct determination and means one must restructure the case and find someone who has suffered harm...prior to the election day.
Beautifully stated.
I wish that EVERY person who was adopted as a baby and not thrown out like so much trash, would stand up and shout something similar to anyone who will listen.
I wish I knew how to change the heart of a pro-abortion person like mine was. I was pro-abortion until my late 20’s. Stupid, virulent, close-minded pro-abortion fool, I was.
Then one day I wasn’t and I do not have a clue what happened in my defective mind to change, other than Divine Intervention. I pray more people experience the transmogrification from a black heart to a heart full of the Lord’s light like I experienced almost 45 years ago.
A tip of the hat to those supreme court justices, who stood tall, amid threats and harassment by the leftist commies.
Many years ago, a nurse friend of mine showed me such a pic and I've been pro-life ever since. Took me a while after that to ditch atheism and other foolish notions, but that's what did it for me when it comes to being pro-life.
I’ve got to ask - was abortion actually a law or was it just a Supreme Court ruling?
So why did the reversal of Roe vs Wade occur just a few months before the very important mid term elections that nearly everyone is saying the Republicans have in the bag?
The Democrats aren’t shooting to retain their majority in both houses, They want a 2/3 majority in both houses this November. They only recruited 2000 mules two years ago, the number of people willing to cheat and steal for free instead of $20 per vote has just astronomically increased.
My guess is that the Democrats are over joyed at the timing of the court on this issue. I think that somehow they engineered it. Come November, I dread the prospect of being back here with an “I told you so.” It may not be as bad as the 2/3 majority but it sure isn’t going to help.
As a new Christian with very stupid and muddled political ideas back in the late 1980s (”I”m personally against abortion but think women should be able to choose ), a kind Christian pro-life lady got me to watch Bernard Nathanson’s “The Silent Scream”, read several other books and other videos about abortion, read some scriptural basis against abortion, and to read Carol Everitt’s personal autobiography of her time as director of a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.(She later became a Christian, left the abortion industry and became a big voice against abortion in those days.).
That book opened my eyes to the horrors of what abortion really is, and how Planned Abortionhood is really just a huge $$$-making industry that also makes big big donations to the Democrat party. A money laundering operation forcing our tax dollars to be recycled to re-elect Democrats. That loss of $$$ is part of the screaming going on right now on the pro-abortion side. As a new Christian I was open to that. For someone who is not a Christian, I’m not sure what might work as everyone has seen sonogram’s of babies by now.
The Left’s grateful victims are legion:

Thanks are in order, Mom,
or so it would seem.
For ending my life,
my hope, my young dream...
That night I arrived to my comfy new cave,
there were rockets, I sensed, and at least one crashing wave.
What magic did flare as you and he became three.
To be the joy of your lives surely Destiny chose me.
Till morning’s first light brought with it the fright,
which made one thing first now to be clear.
That though I loved you, dear mom, with all my tiny little might,
you didn’t seem to even know I was here.
Hours became days, my fate just a haze,
the good news had not reached you still yet.
Then came the pee test and my heart-broken gaze,
at your face now clearly filled with regret.
Please, please, oh mother, say I’m reading you wrong,
I promise, I swear, I’ll always be good.
Please, please, oh mother, sing me a comforting song,
and stop your frantic dialing to Planned (de)Parenthood.
Perhaps it is daddy who’ll love me dear,
and find me so unbearably cute.
But I’d then have society to fear,
it deeming his will and mine to be moot.
What kind of place are you running out there,
where daddies and daughters and sons,
Must sit on their hands or pull out their hair,
awaiting moms’ rulings on the next chosen ones?
So, thanks to you mom and thanks again still.
For your love as fleeting as Twitter,
for permanently canceling my sitter,
or, at least, for choosing to kill via pill!
You can have your cruel world and its heartless love making,
where God’s blessings are now viewed as a bother.
But if you find a spare moment ‘tween all these pills that we’re taking,
please write to me care of our Father.
“They have eyes to see but do not see; ears to hear yet do not hear; lest they understand...”
You are right. I believe true knowledge comes from the Almighty through faith in Jesus and the battle is waged in prayer.
Thank you for your testimony.
Very true. When I was taking a college Written Argument course, we had to select a topic to debate on in the classroom, set up like a courtroom (defendant vs. plaintiff).
The only limitation was that the topic "abortion" was not allowed to be debated on. He said that the abortion debates created storms in the classroom that he could not control.
Instead, the debated topic ended up to be homosexual marriage. I wasn't too keen on that one either, because a year earlier, my ex-wife left me for another woman. The timing for that debate was not so hunky-dory for me...
One must answer the question: “Was their harm berfore the election?”
I say yes.

Constitutionally, the State Legislatures have PLENARY authority to devise, regulate and execute elections within their borders.
In the swing States, fiat rules were implemented OUTSIDE and in violation the Legislatures’ PLENARY authority.
The Legislatures were harmed by illegally enacted election rules and therefore have standing.
They should have sued prior to the election instead of cowering in a corner afraid of a Flu-bug.
Once they certified (Note, Mich almost didn’t but death threats changed their minds...), it was too effing late.
True. Though between the Executives and the Legislatures, unfortunately, no one had sufficient balls to stand up and say these changes were not allowed, and actually fight them.
