Hey Newbie. There is a reason they are called RINO’s and we will continue to cull the herd of RINOs wherever they show their Deep State grifter hands.
“Please. No more RINO talk.”
Nobody on this earth can pass the purity test some on here insist on. We’ve got people on here who want to execute Mike Pence because he’s a ‘traitor’, execute Alan Simpson. What a bunch of maroons.
Alan will say anything if the money is right.
Yep. Simpson-Mazzoli and Reagan took the bait, thinking it would end illegal immigration. Instead it opened the floodgate.
That’s teh best Lying Lizzie could do?
“Eek. I’ve said it before in this forum, but there is WAYYYYYY too much RINO talk around here.
You all know perfectly well that one of Reagan’s first rules was: no one talks bad about a fellow republican. I thought that was an awesome rule.”
I get your sentiments but that nicey-nicey paradigm only went one way. Were you listening when John McCain called conservatives hobbits, etc. Where was this vaunted principle then? I’ve been watching politics for well over thirty years and conservatives have been called every name in the book...by fellow Republicans.
So there will be PLENTY more RINO talk. Because we’re done with their phony Republicanism, because that’s exactly what it is.
He was a worthless pro-abortion drek back in the day.
This is a Conservative website, not a Republican one. You want to love on Republicans who have pushed the leftist agenda, destroyed the country and gutted the Constitution, you’re on the wrong website.
Not committing treason is a reliable purity test. Simpson set the stage to flood the country with tens of millions of illegals (and the epic level of crime that has resulted) and is supporting a treasonous warmongering bitch. Pence enabled the insurrection by the Derp State on 1/6/21 by not stopping the count of false election results to install a degenerate pedophile and Soros/Xi puppet in the White House.
Traitors must swing.
There are RINOs many of which are assistant democrats, and then there are democrats who have infiltrated the Republican Party.
Pathetic.

Well, and there’s a kind of logical anomaly in what I said too... I mean, how will you stop people from saying such things without criticizing them? I guess the answer is, you got to have a leader who will put the rule across and make it stick. A leader who would have had a little talk with McCain and got him back on the straight and narrow. That’s the real problem... no real leaders. Ah, well...

...well, but RINO starts with an “R,” right?
And I have to hand it to you, I don’t think I could have come up with a ghastlier image if I had tried... “loving on” Alan Simpson, for gosh sakes... lol
“Nobody on this earth can pass the purity test some on here insist on. “
Ah, somebody gets it... thanks.
Right, thought he was dead!
The Vice President has no such power either in the Constitution or by any of the rules or statutes governing that procedure. Even if he somehow could have made his own motion as presiding officer to do so, it could have simply been overridden by appealing the ruling the chair. Simple reality.

There’s nothing at all wrong with criticizing politicians for their votes. That’s what we’re talking about. John McCain is the best example. He was all Republican around election time then voted as a Democrat once safely reelected. And whenever anybody dared criticize him, we had to hear about how he was captured by the North Vietnamese, which had nothing to do with his voting record.
Another example is Arlen Specter. Republicans had gotten tired of his games and decided to support somebody else to represent them. So Specter said that he was not going to have his thirty years of work judged by the Republican electorate (while that same Republican electorate was electing him for thirty years) so he became a Democrat.
Lisa Murkowski, another example. In 2010 the people chose somebody else in the Republican primary, but instead of being a “leader” as you say, she declined to support the Republicans’ choice and ran as an independent to stay in the Senate.
In election after election we conservatives were told to hold our noses and vote for moderate-liberal Republicans, but it never goes both ways. When a conservative is nominated, the moderate-liberal Republicans endorse and vote for the Democrat.
These are just a few examples, but this has been going on for about 80 years. George Romney and Bill Scranton couldn’t bring themselves to support Barry Goldwater (and like father like son, Mitt Romney did the same thing with Trump). Reagan was called name after name by these same types. So was Bob Taft, Newt Gingrich, etc.
Conservatives long ago became tired of this two-facedness and the betrayals.
I would suggest that you read some political history. I would suggest Phyllis Schlafly’s A Choice Not an Echo, Before the Storm by Rick Perlstein and The Age of Reagan by Steven Hayward to start.
