Nike has decided to fully exit Russia three months after suspending operations in the country due to its invasion of Ukraine, the sportswear giant announced Thursday.
The company has no announced plans to exit China due to that country’s gross human rights abuses and organized use of slave labor in making Nike products.
Nike initially suspended operations in Russia on March 3, a week after Vladimir Putin ordered Russian forces to invade Ukraine in an attempt to take over the neighboring nation. However, Nike seems to have been motivated to leave the country entirely by the prospect of new criminal laws imposed by the Russian government on foreign companies who protested against Moscow’s war.

Probably more corporate propaganda and hypocrisy. I imagine most of Nike’s sales in Russia come from Russian distributors and shops with local owners. Nike itself might own a few large concept stores in prime malls or locations, but those are a small amount of sales, and probably would have been closed anyway. The local distributors will be directed to warehouses in Greece or Cyrpus who will be happy to sell the shoes if they want them.
Didn’t Nike just recently declare itself as being “Of China and For China”, or some such nonsense?
Any civilization that pays $300 for a pair of shoes made from rubber, plastic and cloth is not likely to survive long.

Sadly, the move will be quietly cheered by FR’s resident CINOs.
Looks like Russia is getting corporate tranny’s to voluntarily take a hike.
Nike sucks society dry, either with slave labor, or sell sneakers priced 2000% of cost to mostly poor people.
Not enough slave labor in Russia; the prospective employees had the gall to ask for salaries of 25 cents per day.
Nike trying to pretend they have a conscience.
So where will the new slave labor plants be? Vietnam? Haiti? Bangladesh?
Now that the precident is set, press American companies to act morally in regards to Red China.
