NATO needs ‘visible’ counter to Russia threat via Belarus, Lithuania warns
POLITICO ^ | June 24, 2022 | Lili Bayer

NATO needs a more “visible” presence in the Baltics to counter the threat Russia poses from Belarus, Lithuania’s President Gitanas Nausėda warned on Friday.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has prompted a discussion within the transatlantic military alliance about how to best defend its eastern members, with leaders gathering in Madrid next week set to sign off on new plans.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Nausėda told POLITICO that “very huge fundamental changes” in neighboring Belarus make Lithuania more vulnerable to a quick Russian attack — and necessitate a shift in the region’s security arrangements.

The Lithuanian leader said he would describe today’s Belarus as an “additional province” of Moscow, adding that the “Russian army can do what they want to move the forces, to deploy the equipment.”

NATO sees Russia as a threat still, even though the Cold War ended 30 years ago with the fall of the Soviet Union.

Russia sees NATO as a growing threat to their sphere of influence with its incessant growth even though its very reason for existence died with the Soviet Union.

Interesting times indeed.

Lithuania is stupid to let itself be used by NATO. Just leave the trains alone, please, and keep this conflict contained.

“Russian army can do what they want to move the forces, to deploy the equipment.”

So what? Didn’t we read about French paratroopers staging a jump into Lithuania just last week?

Russia’s main problem is itself.

When it invaded the Ukraine the last time, what did they
expect everyone to do, say thank you very much and lets
be bosom buds?

It scared the crap out of all those nations on its border.

Now they want to have a mutual defense pact. Who could
seriously ask why?

Russia hasn’t improved its security one bit. It now has
caused the problem to grow exponentially.

Putin admits he has delusions of grandeur involving
Peter the Great. He’s more than willing to talk about
it in public.

Those nations over there would be insane not to notice
what this guy has visions of doing.

NATO, like the current WH admin, sees Russia as a threat to globalism aka NWO.

UN Agenda 2030

WEF 2030 Vision

NATO 2030

WEF Young Global Leaders

NATO Young Leaders

UN/WHO/WEF/NATO = NWO

"Imagine there's no countries"

I don't think Russia is down with the NWO - global utopia

They got to you too? It’s amazing how easily some of you all fall for the propaganda. Let me offer you some advice to know the difference between right and wrong. Look at the people who support something, that tells you what you need to know. biden, soros, gopE, dnc and all the people you know are corrupt agree with you. That should tell you something.

No, the threat did not die with the collapse of the USSR, as Russia still remained an aggressive threat. It invaded Chechnya in 1994 and fought the First Chechen War from 1994 - 1996. It then fought the Second Chechen War from 1999 - 2000. Russia then invaded Georgia in 2008, and Eastern Ukraine and Crimea in 2014. All the while engaging in combat operations in Syria and a few other exotic locales.

This has the same stink as WWI getting started because one worthless pissant Euro country got ticked that someone from some other worthless pissant Euro country offed their High Exalted Grand Poobah.
Cost America 116,516 dead soldiers, with approx 320,000 sick and wounded - so let’s try it again! We got plenty of lives to waste on the usual Euro-follies!

Joe, you guys are so hopelessly in the tank for Putin, it’s
just nauseating.

He nationalized his press. Even the Moscow Times prints
things that are revealing. Put has delusions of being
Peter the Great II.

Do you think his interview was propaganda? Seriously folks,
you think I like Soros? Are you nuts? I’ve been suggesting
he should have been locked up decades ago. I still promote
the idea. He runs his own foreign policy with his network
of sites around the world. It’s purely political.

He has his own network of hired thugs that are a blight on
this nation. Who didn’t know this?

Putin has his own network of people doing things. Both
sides have played this game since the Cold War. You actually
didn’t know this?

We manipulate things, and they manipulate things. It has
always been this way. And Russia is no pristine immaculate
nation of poise and goodness.

Russia is right now securing the Oil and Gas holdings of
the Ukraine. That’s it.

Get yourself a map of the occupied territories, and get
yourself a map of the oil and gas preserves.

He nationalized his press.

You do realize that zelinski, or what ever the hell his name is, nationalized all press/media in Ukraine, as well as outlawed any and all opposition political parties. Right?

...but Russia didn’t need to counter the threat in Ukraine nor it needs to counter the threat in Lithuania.

My two cents.

Prioritize finding and killing Russian rocket, missile, and gun artillery systems.

I realize this is a lot easier to write than accomplish.

However, from the reports I have read and heard, they are the only real money makers the Russians have going for them at the moment. First, take out the hard-to-replace weapon systems themselves, followed by the crews, then C3I and logistics vehicles, and finally the ammunition.

Kill the artillery and offensive ground operations get much more difficult to execute.

What could have been a regional conflict is now turning global because of the actions of the USA and NATO.

Let the EU deal with it. It’s their problem. Why can’t the US ever leave anything alone? Instead we make sure to be in the forefront of everything always making situations worse. The CIA is behind this guaranteed.

I’m guessing a lot of people are missing the 4 years of Peace and Prosperity we had under President Trump

Hey, no more mean tweets, though - so at least there’s that . . .
