NATO sees Russia as a threat still, even though the Cold War ended 30 years ago with the fall of the Soviet Union.
Russia sees NATO as a growing threat to their sphere of influence with its incessant growth even though its very reason for existence died with the Soviet Union.
Interesting times indeed.

Lithuania is stupid to let itself be used by NATO. Just leave the trains alone, please, and keep this conflict contained.

โRussian army can do what they want to move the forces, to deploy the equipment.โ
So what? Didn’t we read about French paratroopers staging a jump into Lithuania just last week?

This has the same stink as WWI getting started because one worthless pissant Euro country got ticked that someone from some other worthless pissant Euro country offed their High Exalted Grand Poobah.
Cost America 116,516 dead soldiers, with approx 320,000 sick and wounded - so let’s try it again! We got plenty of lives to waste on the usual Euro-follies!

...but Russia didn’t need to counter the threat in Ukraine nor it needs to counter the threat in Lithuania.

My two cents.
Prioritize finding and killing Russian rocket, missile, and gun artillery systems.
I realize this is a lot easier to write than accomplish.
However, from the reports I have read and heard, they are the only real money makers the Russians have going for them at the moment. First, take out the hard-to-replace weapon systems themselves, followed by the crews, then C3I and logistics vehicles, and finally the ammunition.
Kill the artillery and offensive ground operations get much more difficult to execute.

What Lithuania and the rest of the EU should be asking themselves: is NATO, and more specifically, the US, France or the UK, willing to risk nuclear war with Russia to keep possible Russian adventures in check?
And maybe means no.
If the feckless PedoClown_TheWhore regime has shown the world anything, it's that each nation is on its own and should be making its own accomodations with its neighbors.
The EU wants its cut, but isn't willing to risk outright civil unrest/chaos, just to kinda-sorta punish Russia.
The money-laundering operation known as The Ukraine is all over except the crying.

How about a pretty multicolored flag to scare all the russians away?!
