A former West Virginia lawmaker who livestreamed himself on Facebook storming the U.S. Capitol and cheering on what he described as a "revolution" was sentenced Wednesday to three months in prison.
Derrick Evans, 37, who pleaded guilty to a felony civil disorder charge, told the judge that he regrets his actions every day and is a "good person who unfortunately was caught up in a moment."
Never apologize
Putting down the rebellion...
Meanwhile the rioters who burned and destroyed businesses in DC received millions in damages from the law suit they filed.
Is this about the church which was firebombed during the rioting against PDJT’s 2016 victory?
“Never apologize”
Agreed....what good did it do? They wanted to give him 3 months and that’s what he got.
Might as well say nothing and go to jail with a smirk in your face.
Sounds like a broken terrorist hostage overseas.
Another political prisoner
Remember way back when FR used to like this guy?
We are all sick of the double standards. We want justice, can your here this GOP?
Lovely how they pick and choose the ones they want to destroy!
But BLM and Antifa can attack cops, tear down statues, burn down businesses and government buildings, attempt to storm the White House, and no charges are brought against the overwhelming majority of them.
What a disgrace.
Activist & arbitrary judge using his position to make an ideological dictate rather than dispense equal justice under the law. Real criminals set free, patriotic Americans who peacefully exercised their freedom of speech & assembly humiliated & jailed, in many cases their lives & health destroyed.
We don’t want any more protests say the judge, we want you to sit down & shut up.
“storming”
I guess I “stormed” Home Depot earlier today. Later, I will “storm” the grocery store. I “stormed” my own home after going to the mailbox a little while ago. All of this “storming” is exhausting.
Also, the only difference is this was the Capital but still, they never put a terroristic democrat/antifa/ business burning/killers in prison for all the crap they have done.
Have they?
“Meanwhile the rioters who burned and destroyed businesses in DC received millions in damages from the law suit they filed.”
Key observation.
” It doesn’t reflect the feelings of the country about what happened that day “
So he’s telepathic? Or maybe the “feelings” of the country means whatever the Washington Post Propagandists wrote that morning.
And the two lawyers who threw petrol bombs at NYPD cruisers during The Summer of Love (2020) basically got a slap on the wrists.
‘Storming’ the capitol.
Lamberth used to put his finger in the wind during the Clinton years. Pretended to dislike Billy, but always loved him in the crunch.
