We should allow liberals to register their disgust at the ruling - by moving out of Texas. In fact, maybe the Texas leg can set aside money to help libs move, especially the thousands who moved to Texas from California following Big Tech to Texas in search of lower taxes. We’ll have a fleet of U-Hauls with a GPS set to lead them to San Jose.
Don’t need GPS if one Knows the Way to...
Every year the leftards will be invited to riot in the streets of Houston, which will be fireproofed for the occasion, and all the shops re-glazed afterwards. Store owners with shotguns welcome.
What an excellent idea. An annual holiday to celebrate the 50-year abomination. I especially love that TX is rubbing the libs’ faces in it.
Do we really want to get into national/state holiday declarations at the whim of either conservative or radical national/and/or state officials in power at any given time??
Pretty soon, eagerly eyeing EVERY OPEN DAY OF THE CALENDAR YEAR .....somewhere or everywhere..... we'll have petty officials having a field day declaring "holidays" (with offices closed and employees given the day off) for various reasons...... their own political/publicity-attention-seeking or whatever.
To me, this is just more watering-down of our American established way-of-life.
Why not a national official " Assault Guns Disarmament Day" federal holiday ?
I don't think I'm too far-off with that joking.....and I don't like this Texas holiday "declaration" at all !
"June Umpteenth" being named a federal holiday has opened up a can of worms, I'm afraid.....just watch !
I'm interested in FReepers' thoughts on this. Thanks,

Hi lovely lady.
I hope you are doing well.
I agree with your points made in your post.
Juneteenth? Heck, then let’s celebrate Uyghur Wednesdays.

True. Too many holidays. I’d go with:
Christmas
Thanksgiving
July 4th
February 22
FYI: The U.S. Supreme Court, in correcting the numerous errors of Roe vs. Wade (1973), and Casey vs. Planned Parenthood (1992) IN NO WAY banned the ghoulish practice of abortion. What the Supremes ACTUALLY did, legally speaking, is to return the power to LEGISLATE abortion regulations to the STATES, where the PEOPLE can vote on it. Thus, the decision was strongly pro-democracy and pro-freedom.
Excellent!
