Doesn’t this just pass the decision on individual states?
Unless there is a major change from Alito's draft there is nothing that prevents Congress from legislating abortion.
Yes. It’s now up to each state to pass laws which deal with abortion. Some states will have restrictions, others will have virtually no restrictions on abortion.
That’s exactly what it did..now it’s up to each state to decide..
Many states will now overturn it
With rare exceptions, murder is a violation of State law and prosecuted in State courts. Those convicted of murder end up doing their time in State prisons.
This puts the matter in the hands of State Legislatures. Make sure your State representative(s) and State senator(s) know that you oppose abortion and vote accordingly.
That is correct, where is always should have been.
Yes. Follows the Tenth Amendment....Roe v Wade was a horrible decision.
Yes. Overturning Roe v. Wade does not "ban" abortion, as those on the Left will say. It recognizes that there is no such right within the US Constitution and therefore, the decision is returned to the States.
That’s what the opinion was all about...State Laws have always dealt with abortion...and the precedence lies there. Roe v Wade should have never happened. It is NOT precedence.
Yes. Isn't that where it belongs?
Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Yup
Keeps the court from having to hear every heart beat bill challenged
Yes. Its states rights.
Missouri already banned it.
