DURHAM, N.H. – A public opinion survey in New Hampshire, the state that for a century has held the first primary in presidential race, indicates that Florida Gov. Gov. Ron DeSantis has a razor-thin margin over former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 GOP primary match-up.
According to polling numbers released on Wednesday by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, 39% of likely Republican primary voters in the Granite State would support the first-term Florida governor, with 37% backing the former president. Respondents were provided a list of potential contenders for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, and DeSantis margin was well within the survey’s sampling error.

I think Trump was the best president in my lifetime (I’m 68). But I do think DeSantis is a good alternative. In fact, maybe better. Trump has become way too polarizing to the far left. I believe even the legitimate votes Biden got were really just votes against Trump, and the hate was over the top.
You really think the Democrats will allow a 2024 election
My litmus test for where I think we are headed is the outcome of 2022.
One thing Pres Trump has over DeSantis….he doesn’t have to worry about a second term. He can do whatever he wants.
And now he knows the game and the players. Something he didn’t know before.
He can go after them like a pack of wolves. And they can’t do a thing about it.
Can you imagine him on Twitter, just dropping bomb after bomb about all of their sh*t. Something he should/could have done first time around but that’s hindsight.
NH is wack
Because if we make nice the left will not hate America & conservatives.
Didn’t Cruz win the first 3 primaries in ‘16?
I agree with everything you say. My problem is that he is a lightning rod for the left. That is, his election could very quickly thrust us into civil war.
That being said, if you want an omelet, you gotta break some eggs. 😉
See my post above this one.

If you think Trump is polarizing, just wait until DeSantis is the nominee...
Here in FLA, people either love or hate him... and the “hate him” crowd are very loud and vocal.
NH isn’t much of a bellwether state anymore when it comes to indicating how the rest of the country feels.
The only purpose of this poll is to drive a wedge into the Republican Party. Shame on Fox News for publishing it.
It’s Joe Biden whose approval is in the toilet. They should be polling HIM against possible primary opponents.
The Wuhan Flu Coup with its 81,000,000 votes laughs at Repub primaries for Office of President. Laughs even harder at polls for rigged election of 2024, in 2020.
And both are beating Lieden and the Ugandan giant. Can we report those as well? Oh...they are also both beating the traitor. Sounds like the Mitch wing of the party is less than 25%. That’s got to hurt!
Make that 2022 polls.
Should not all info be published no matter which side of the
fence the candidate is on? Why hide any info?
It’s all a media creation. Trump was loved and adored by the left until the media decided to make crap up. Palin was LOVED and adored in Alaska, by the time the election happened she was a wolf killer. McCain was loved as a maverick and by the end of the election he was stealing black children (his adopted daughter). Following the election, in the Trump years, he was back to being a principaled conservative. Romney was a loved Govenor or a lefty state, by the end of the election he was a dog abuser who evaded taxes. Trump did an amazing job pushing back and is really the only one to successfully push back. He’s strong, he cares and he doesn’t need the money. He’s been vetted for 6 years and they can’t pin anything on him. Trump is the only one who is in a position to throw all caution to the wind and actually fix things (his second term was primed because they have nothing left, that’s why they were willing to destroy the republic to stop him and steal the election).
