[Trump has become way too polarizing to the far left. I believe even the legitimate votes Biden got were really just votes against Trump, and the hate was over the top.]
If you think Trump is polarizing, just wait until DeSantis is the nominee...
Here in FLA, people either love or hate him... and the “hate him” crowd are very loud and vocal.
It’s all a media creation. Trump was loved and adored by the left until the media decided to make crap up. Palin was LOVED and adored in Alaska, by the time the election happened she was a wolf killer. McCain was loved as a maverick and by the end of the election he was stealing black children (his adopted daughter). Following the election, in the Trump years, he was back to being a principaled conservative. Romney was a loved Govenor or a lefty state, by the end of the election he was a dog abuser who evaded taxes. Trump did an amazing job pushing back and is really the only one to successfully push back. He’s strong, he cares and he doesn’t need the money. He’s been vetted for 6 years and they can’t pin anything on him. Trump is the only one who is in a position to throw all caution to the wind and actually fix things (his second term was primed because they have nothing left, that’s why they were willing to destroy the republic to stop him and steal the election).
One of Trumps problems is that he gives his haters so much ammunition , with reckless gaffes and careless behavior like his poorly planned Covid press conferences where he shot from the hip and let Fauci contradict him. Desantis is 100 times more disciplined.
What is more avoidable is when voters hate a guy because of his personality, because the personality doesn't advance anything worthwhile.
