April Ryan, a veteran White House correspondent for The Grio, sat down to interview Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about her new position.
“It is awesome to be outside of that press briefing room,” Ryan laughed. “Yeah,” Jean-Pierre said with a sigh, “it is.”
Jean-Pierre took her seat just 20 days earlier, a new player at the table who found herself holding a weak hand. Voters are alarmed about inflation, baby formula shortages, and soaring gasoline prices, and the White House press corps was demanding answers from the president’s spokeswoman.
It’s clear that Jean-Pierre is “not as adept at the podium as her predecessor, Jen Psaki,” a member of the White House press corps told RCP. “I mean, she’s definitely risk-averse, as far as being very careful not to step in it.” But good poker players know that the game has an element of risk.

I know a few blacks - both men and women (being intelligent, NONE ‘identify’ with word-masturbation pronouns). ALL are far far, more intelligent and educated than this poor, sick woman. And - all of them share my opinions of her.
I heard a news report yesterday that mentioned Karine Jean-Pierre and I legitimately thought it was John Kerry’s new pronoun. Not even joking.

From what I’ve seen, tying her shoes would be a steep learning curve.

Every new job is like that. Trial by fire. No big deal. Some workers thrive in that environment, others don’t. In time she’ll gain the ability to learn and repeat the narrative lines. It’s an acting job, after all. If she’s not up to the acting, shuffle her off to some production role.
Seriously. I thought it was the job of the press to craft the narrative, anyway. The press needs to do a better job of teaching her highness how to act the part of foil.
It would have been too much to expect for the Biden team to hire somebody with proven experience in handling a press conference.
It’s not like there aren’t 50 governors with experienced press secretaries who would like to move up.
But, noooo. They had to go triple-Affirmative-action (black/female/lesbian).

Talent and wisdom are not bestowed ... but she is told constantly that she was born with these attributes that, for others, take decades of hard work and experience to even begin to achieve.
