What, are there a bunch of redcoats in the Keystone State or something?
Pennsylvania is apparently one of the least patriotic states in the country, according to this one study.
Financial site WalletHub decided to find out what makes a patriot as the Fourth of July holiday nears. In order to do so, they first took a look at all 50 states across two key dimensions: “Military Engagement” and “Civic Engagement.”
From there they proceeded to grade each on sub-metrics such as “Veterans per 1,000 Civilian Adults” and “Share of Adults Who Voted in 2020 Presidential Election,” peppering in data from sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau the whole way through.
Based on all that, WalletHub found the following to be the top five most patriotic states in the nation (in ascending order): Oregon, North Dakota, Virginia, Montana, and Alaska.
“But where’s Pennsylvania?” You may be asking, as this is a Pennsylvania-based news site which typically writes stories on these types of rankings if the state breaks the top 20.
Alas, fair reader, this is a different type of study, for Pennsylvania didn’t break the top 10, or 20, or even the top 30.
Nope—Pennsylvania actually sits down below amongst the “least patriotic” states in the number 42 spot. This is only a smidge better than the bottom five least-patriotic states, which are Massachusetts, Florida, Rhode Island, New York, and Arkansas.
“There are many ways for an individual to demonstrate patriotism,” states Russ Crawford, a history professor at Ohio Northern University. “In the United States, individuals are free to be patriotic in whatever they want. That could be flying the national flag at their house, serving in the military, voting, and taking part in the political life of the nation, but also includes a multitude of other ways.
“If one chooses to show patriot by popping off on the 4th of July, that is fine. We have had times in our nation’s history when patriotism has been defied to require specific actions, but in contemporary America, we have the freedom to choose our own path.”
WalletHub is based in Washington DC, right in the swamp.

There’s the explanation for this BS right there!
The commonwealth just isn’t what it used to be.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.
Heh, that figures. Neither is America! If they were, most Democrat politicians would be in prison or in the dirt!
Bullshit
It is like NY. Don’t judge the state by one city
I had to move from Texas to Pennsylvania, Bucks County. Lots of hateful Hidden-voting neo-Marxists all around. However, go out to the rural areas and see lots of Trump flags.
