Shocking testimony from the Texas DPS director on Tuesday has revealed even more insight into the “abject failure” of response to the Uvalde shooting that occurred on May 24.
Texas Department of Public Safety Director Col. Steven McCraw revealed that the husband of slain elementary teacher Eva Mireles tried to save her but was barred from doing so.
Ruben Ruiz is a police officer for the school district and was on the scene after the gunman entered the school and opened fire.
McCraw said Mireles called Ruiz and told him that “she had been shot and was dying.”
“And what happened to him, is he tried to move forward into the hallway,” McCraw said. “He was detained and they took his gun away from him and escorted him off the scene.”
McCraw didn’t say who specifically detained Ruiz.
If I were in this guy’s shoes, trying to save my wife I’d shoot Jesus Christ himself.
I had a buddy, passed on some years ago who told flat out told me “The police are not there to protect you. They’re armed agents of the state and that is who they protect’’ He said “Learn to protect yourself. Get a gun’’.
On that point I’m trying. In NJ it’s tough.
Man, that just don’t ‘’add up’’.
Somebody was funding this kid big time.
Just a horrible thought—I can not imagine it being true but it keeps invading my mind. What if the Police Chief who ordered the stand down, a life long Democrat, Biden supporter and Liberal, Did this to help the gun seizure for all America? What if it was a deliberate act? What if it was permitted so as to help out the “Liberal Cause?” and the dead teachers and children were sacrifices to the “Greater Good”? Am I crazy to even think this? Could people be this mercenary? I watched the Jan. 6 “show trail” and I am starting to believe its possible. Please tell me I am wrong.
I’d shoot God Almighty himself if I were in that guy’s place.
The FBI. Believe it or not. Your choice.
You’re not wrong
Reiterating false information (i.e. the "fully loaded" F250 was his) doesn't help the process to get to the facts, it clouds it with fake narratives.
While the public deserves to find out who really paid for the guns and ammo, it's not totally out of the realm of possibilities that he did.
With most likely no expenses living with grandma, he could have saved his entire paycheck for those purchases.
He also, almost certainly, didn't make "minimum wage," which is $7.25/hr in Texas.
Granted, it's not a massive amount more...but if this information is correct, he made somewhere between $9.00 and $10.60 an hour. Example, in Decatur TX with less than 1/2 the population of Ulvade, a Wendy's cook makes about $9.08/hr.
Obviously would take him many months of saving, but not impossible if he was totally free to spend his checks on whatever he wanted.
Knowing how long he worked there and how many hours a week he worked would help ferret out this possibility.
Oh it’s a mystery alright. Even full time at 15 bucks an hour wouldn’t be very doable....and I understand he only worked part-time.
Yes I just read that while sitting in the Drs office for my wife’s appointment.
It is there was to stop the conservatives from winning enough seats for a 60 plus majority in the Senate
I don’t know if you are wrong or not, but if you are, I am every bit as wrong as you.
Always carry a backup into a school. Lesson learned. And skip the front door where the cops are considering all 36785 options.
One of their ways...
The chief of police - the creep who stopped his men - and the parents from going in - is a Beto supporter.
A democrat ...
That’s why so many people died. The democrat chief is a coward... and self seriving and a liar. He would not have been hired if he had said he’d let children die before risking his own life.
Another question would be who were these “local police” that disarmed him? Has anyone tried to find a correlation between the pictures from the security cam in the hallway and known photographs from the local police department or school police department? Not to say that they weren’t legitimate local officers, but that should be checked at least.
The internet has these cool things called paycheck calculators that let you enter the state so you can compare after tax income.
In TX, full time at 15/hr is $2154 a month take home pay. He lived at home or with Grandma, no rent or food expenses.
Tell me again how a kid who quit school to work full time couldn’t earn the money.
I really don’t know why adults can’t do the math on this.

The math is easy. Show me his receipts and expenditures when you have them.

He addresses the bank account and purchases of the subject including 6 online purchases of gun accessories prior to his 18th birthday using his debit card around the 7 minute mark.
Yes, I seem to have a blind spot at times,
Too often I fail to see what I typed on my phone
