Shocking testimony from the Texas DPS director on Tuesday has revealed even more insight into the “abject failure” of response to the Uvalde shooting that occurred on May 24.
Texas Department of Public Safety Director Col. Steven McCraw revealed that the husband of slain elementary teacher Eva Mireles tried to save her but was barred from doing so.
Ruben Ruiz is a police officer for the school district and was on the scene after the gunman entered the school and opened fire.
McCraw said Mireles called Ruiz and told him that “she had been shot and was dying.”
“And what happened to him, is he tried to move forward into the hallway,” McCraw said. “He was detained and they took his gun away from him and escorted him off the scene.”
McCraw didn’t say who specifically detained Ruiz.
I watched a lot of yesterday's TX Senate hearing and I heard no questions as to where Salvador Ramos got the money to buy his arsenal.
There has to be a reason why no one wants to know the details of where the money came from.
Steve Bannon this morning was asking again---where did he get the money.
It sounds an awful lot like this was a set-up.
**
I just told my wife the same thing. Seems like this was a set up, to get support for gun control and to attack 2nd Amendment supporting Trump conservatives who in an election year when Commiecrat Dems are treading so far underwater a submarine can’t find their approval ratings.
The cops will do everything they can to ruin you. If you dare try to defend yourself, you are done. If you try to defend someone else, you’re even more screwed.
As if the outcome had been planned...
Ruiz knows who detained him. I bet he is considering his options.

Given the way stone killers have a rigid code of ethics, he couldn’t possibly have robbed anyone, sold drugs or pawned grandma’s valuables. And even if he were so inclined, police departments have a 100% clearance rate for these crimes, so he’d be in prison instead of in the morgue.
Being the sweet kid he was, he not only paid grandma for room and board - he gave her his entire paycheck. No way Jose did he have a penny to spend on weaponry.
Some people are casual about taking on debt. Not this kid. Neither a borrower nor a lender be was his motto. It’s one thing to shoot up a school, and quite another to leave a credit card balance unpaid, since he’d either be on Death Row or in the morgue.
The real bottom line? Someone put him up to it and paid for everything. I blame Charles Schwab.
That post has false info in it
Ramos did not own the Ford F250—that was his grandma’s vehicle. I believe the other stuff is pretty accurate.
Ford F250 Platinum $71,000.00
Game Console $500.00
Rifles $6000.00/$8,000.00
Optics $1000.00
Ammo $900.00
Body Armor $1000.00
TOTAL - $80,400.00………… On Minimum Wage ??!!
It does, except so much of this was botched and lied about and this continuing change of outrageous details it seems gross incompetence is the only possibility.
From his job. This has been answered over and over again. He quit school to work full time for nearly a year to buy his guns. It’s entirely doable and not a mystery.
That and other questions go un-asked because they are *POLITICIANS!!* and the answers might embarrass them or cause them to be backed into a corner created by their own ignorance or hypocrisy.
These televised "investigations" are held ONLY for face time, bloviating and self aggrandizement on the part of POLITICIANS!!!
“””I blame Charles Schwab.”””
Oops. You may find your brokerage account has been closed.
You probably mean Klaus Schwab.
I know what my options would be if someone stood in the way of keeping me from saving my wife. Especially since I'm already holding a loaded gun.
I guess the famous Texas Rangers aren’t interested or even curious.
Not even half true, but endlessly reposted to feed the conspiracy theorists.
These kind of victims of police action are the exact ones the red flag laws will be used against the most.
You know what I would call someone who stopped me.....an accomplice.
