NRSC Chair Rick Scott told reporters this morning that he speaks often with Trump, assumes he is running in 2024. And he declined to commit to supporting McConnell for Majority Leader if GOP wins senate, saying there will be a leadership election.

McConnell is pushing gun control right now Scott can read the tea leaves and is changing the words coming out of his mouth accordingly.

A lot of the likely new GOP senators are making it a campaign pledge NOT to vote for McConnell.

Have the vote. Get them on the record. Make them pay if necessary. Realignments can be long and drawn out. Our country doesn't really have the time, but that is how it works.
