McConnell is pushing gun control right now Scott can read the tea leaves and is changing the words coming out of his mouth accordingly.
Means *hit in the long term.
McConnell will come back its amazing if the GOP gets a majority this year with Herschel Walker winning McConnell can say “look the guy I backed won” and so on.
McConnell will be hailed and what will Trump say whatever it is convenient to say at the moment.
Right now he is silent as the gun grabbing law works through Congress.
That silence based on public opinion at the moment.

First we take the house and senate in 2022 and THEN we divide the spoils. First Trump gets presidency in 2024 and THEN we support deSantis in 2028.
Creating division, dissension, doubt, resentment right now is just the work of Democrat operatives and the work of Republicans accustomed to ‘wrestling defeat from the jaws of victory’. We keep doing the same thing and failing again.
For all that Trump hates the democrats against him he has always admired that they stick together (implying Republicans don’t).
