That’s a bit high (in my opinion).
The problem is lack of an alternative I guess. Unless someone “runs” for it.
A lot of the likely new GOP senators are making it a campaign pledge NOT to vote for McConnell.

I can think of at least 35 votes for McConnell.
Have the vote. Get them on the record. Make them pay if necessary. Realignments can be long and drawn out. Our country doesn't really have the time, but that is how it works.

Senators like Mitt Romney and Lindsey Graham will vote for McConnell. Senate is slow to change due to their 6 year terms.
The play should be in the House. Replace McCarthy?
