With absolutely no evidence to support my saying so, I doubt that very many members of any culture ever gave a moment’s thought to Juneteenth until Joe Biden worked to make it a Federal Holiday. Now it’s a celebration of warfare. Never underestimate Joe’s ability to F things up.

With absolutely no evidence to support my saying so, I doubt that very many members of any culture ever gave a moment’s thought to Juneteenth until Joe Biden worked to make it a Federal Holiday.

I live in Texas, and have been hearing about it for years. That's because "Juneteenth" is a Texas thing, the day slaves in Texas learned of the emancipation of slaves. No good reason to make it a US Federal Holiday. I guess Biden wanted it do a de facto St George Floyd day.
